Verizon Galaxy Nexus (Prime) Waiting Room

Ok so in regards to my incredible...Amazon is offering Verizon phones for a penny, but its only for new lines...I talked to the Verizon guy and he told me to bargain with Amazon for giving the phone for that price since it is time to sign a new contract anyway...So if i can get them to do that, I will get the Bionic, then when the Prime comes out, I will sell my Bionic and then use my moms upgrade for the Prime...Question is though..does Amazon have special policies on their cheap phones? Because I remember when my sister got an incredible from Wirefly she wasnt allowed to sell it for 6 months or she would have to pay them the full retail price of the phone

OH AND BTW!....When I was talking to the Verizon guy I mention the Prime/Galaxy Nexus and he went out of his way to make it seem like he knew nothing about it, but made it pretty obvious he did...he told me.."Oh yea, I heard about it, just heard about it...I heard its a really great device, but unfortunately I cant tell you whether we will be carrying or not or when"

Some of these tech blogs (BGR included) have the throw-mud-at-the-wall philosophy: If you throw enough mud at the wall, some of it is bound to stick. They just post every single rumor they can, and then when 1 of them comes true, they say "we told you so."

A few days before it comes true, they debunk some of the past, conflicting rumors and pass it off as some sort of inside information even though most lay-persons could logically deduce that the more solid rumors with some level of confirmation conflict with the other ones that are likely false.

I need my Galaxy Nexus fix........I am getting the shakes, can someone post some new news

Let's keep this discussion out of the Nexus thread and in the Android Central Meta forum. You can find updates and ask questions there.

Anyone else skeptical of a Hong Kong enveiling? We'll know soon enough I know, but it just seems like they would simply do another NY unpacked event instead, doesnt it? This announcement is a big deal, why not do your own event on the right continent?

I am too, especially if it's launching on Verizon. Why unveil it in Hong Kong. I'm not buying it.

Google and Samsung could announce the device itself in Hong Kong. Verizon could then announce the availability of it here, albeit the next day or just after the event is over.

Yeah, why move a huge event like the unveiling to a Hong Kong. Something smells fishy here....and its not me. I'm a Nexus Prime Whore, not a generic, everyday, run of the mill type of whore.

It doesn't matter where the announcement is because there are going to be talking about ICS. I doubt the announcement gives specifics about the release other than "coming soon." Google is going to spend their time discussing the new operating system.
