Verizon Galaxy Nexus (Prime) Waiting Room

Dude. Then wait for the Razer and go out and buy it. I'm digging this phone because of the huge screen. I only spend about 10% of my time actually talking on a smartphone and the rest of the time using apps/surfing on it. I guess the nexus appeals to those of us who want more resolution and don't mind it being .5 to 1" bigger.

Easy, just saying it is a lot bigger. The phone looks great, but they did miss a little on that goal. That's all I'm saying. Everyone was saying how they would be able to keep the body of the phone reasonably sized while adding a bigger screen. They didn't. I may still get it, but I need to hold it in my hands first.

The more I see of this phone the more I like it and ICS. Even if it doesn't replace my iP4 as my primary, I want to get it and use it alongside my iP4, either on a second line or as a mini tab. That browser is AMAZING. Hate the non-tabbed Safari browser.

Gee not strapped for cash now are ya?! :) Re Safari did Apple not improve it in iOS5? Still no tabs??

I just noticed that the 4.65" screen Nexus has a case that is not as wide as my 4.5" Infuse phone.
So the Nexus screen is wider/longer but the phone itself is slimmer. Cool!

INFUSE: (132 x 71 x 9 mm)

NEXUS: (135.5 x 67.94 x 8.94 mm)

Thats because the 4.65 includes the on-screen buttons. Without them its pretty much a 4.3 inch screen

But wont the on-screen buttons disappear when using it for videos making the viewable screen 4.65"? I would hope so

What im thinking is all the screen shots and hands on footage are not the verizon version of the phone. We will all need to wait tell there is a hands on test with that version to be sure how the verizon GN will run but this gpu is not looking good for gamers other than that this phone is most likely going to be in my pocket at launch.

The quadrant score in this video looks awful. I dont go by quadrant scores the thing that bothers me is the planets test, the moon is badly fragmented like in the Bionic. This is due to a slow gpu also the 3d scene lags.Samsung Galaxy Nexus: Quadrant Benchmark - YouTube

do you think this could possibly be because Quadrant hasn't been optimized to run on ICS? also, I don't know much about GPU, but my captivate does that test just fine and its over a year old, so does that mean my captivate has a better GPU (I would assume not :))?

Did the Nexus One ever show up with Verizon branding anywhere? I don't think it did, so I am much more hopeful that the Galaxy Nexus is coming to VZW.

Great pumpkin! yes the galaxy Nexus is the best phone of the year on Verizon. The phone of the year all around is Galaxy S 2 hands down

s2 can't display hd. Thers a reason why they say the best upgrade for a computer is the screen.

did you guys notice in that last YouTube of the benchmark it said max memory is 64gb?

Do you think you can add more shortcuts to the lock-screen? The lock screen seems like it can handle more than just "the lock" and "shortcut to camera" don't you think?
