The problem with this is that other sources have already stated that glitches in the phone aren't what's slowing the launch down.

i just have a friend who works within samsung in Bridgewater, NJ.
If you were looking for some evidence, sorry then, i specficially said i'm SHARING what i know.

if you dont even mention the 4 bugs, what use is it? or even severity of the bug. if something like backup assistant doesnt work, i could care less, gimme the damn phone. if its something like it spontaneously combusts in your pants when your boss calls, that would be more serious.

Well another great "rumor" with nothing to back it up with. Sorry at least if you say it has bugs say what they are otherwise seems like you are just trying to stir the pot...

No more of this, if you're really just "passing along what you heard", tell us what the bugs are and when they were "found"
Beyond that your source could be entirely made up and it seems like you're just working the rumor mil

Best i can say after this whole ordeal... dont get the hopes too high. Itd be great if it were true, but im seriously expecting December 8th so as to not get hurt again, haha. If you expect it to come out in December and it arrives on the 27th, itll feel like a nice surprise After October 27th, November 3rd, November 11th, November !7th, and November 21st... im not betting on anything haha

Don't have a date preference, myself, but it should be noted that the latest round of testing failed on Sun. According to 411, shared in a recent post by one of the more trustworthy members in here. However, they've started round 2, earlier today. Knowing that, I think an instore Black Friday release is a no go. At best, preorders could start. That's only if they get the issue worked out at light speed, though.

Does anyone else find it weird that we have yet to receive any kind of e-mail blast or newsletter from Verizon?

Yea.....we have yet to get anything in the form of a newsletter from having signed up. If this Best Buy ad/date is correct, I would think that by now we would have gotten an email of some kind by now.

When any ad says “prices good for all best buy mobile stores from 11/27/11 to 12/25/11″ it means exactly what it says. The prices are good for those dates! Does not say anything about the phone being availabe on the 27th!

So why have the phone on the ad if tey don't have it? Because they are selling more then that one phone and it will be out before the end of the ad (12/25/11) so why spend money printing different ads when you can use the same one for the whole time period.

put me in the camp that thinks Best Buy calling it the "Prime" is evidence that they are probably in the dark on this phone. These ads seem to be rushed together to meet target sales weeks, at the expense of accuracy.

You could be right but I tend to think it has more to do w/ timing, cuz they also could've printed them before the GN went back into testing several days ago. Doubt they considered or expected this "unannounced" delay to unfold.

Aren't these things supposedly sitting somewhere in a warehouse factory sealed? Do they open up each box and flash an updated firmware, then repackage? Or god forbid they find some hardware bug.

Big time dilemma.

I use to work for Best Buy (almost 6 years), if there is an ad for this device already, there should be a SKU generated already as well. All it would take is someone, a regular BBY employee, to check the SKU within their inventory system. I forgot what the system is called, but you basically can search by SKU or keyword. It would reveal a ship date/arrival date and amount incoming/on-hand.

All of BBY ads start on Sundays. Based upon the pictures in this thread: http://forums.androidcentral.com/verizon-galaxy-nexus/135504-verizon-will-call-nexus-prime.html The SKU appears to be: 3904141 It doesn't show up on Bestbuy.com but it may show up within the internal inventory system.

Nonetheless, I find it highly doubtful that this phone will launch at BBY as the "Nexus Prime." Best Buy appears to be misinformed.
