Verizon Galaxy Nexus (Prime) Waiting Room

I'm not really sticking up for them. I guess I'm growing more and more amazed at how irrational people are acting over this phone.

Totally agree. Verizon said by the end of the year. No one should be ing about it until January 1st. Why should Verizon worry about a handful of people foaming at the mouth over the Nexus? If they're that worked up about it they're not going anywhere anyway, and its such a small group of people they're not work worrying about.

Maybe it should be as far behind the European release as the SGSII, lol

sounds like pauldroid r2d2 is upset that he got a droid bionic instead of waiting on a galaxy nexus. no need to take it out on the rest of us who are eagerly waiting on our gal-nex!

Guys make sure you don't post any personal attacks at any forum member as that would be against forum rules.

After following this forum since before the GN introduction show in Taiwan and seeing endless posts about wild speculation/rumors one tends to get a bit snippy. Myself included and I want to bash but I hold back cos I know this tension will go away when the !@#$!@ phone drops. Its like this before any hot device releases albiet this one may top them all.

I was just thinking the Razr and Rezound just dropped so seamlessly that I guess ppl DO have a pretty good reason to get upset.

nicely said davey11. In fact, i just joined this forum to help pass the time till the phone comes out.

I was so convinced that the phone was coming out in November, that I was crushed to find out it wasn't.

This seems to be the problem. A bunch of people were convince it was coming in November...problem is, Verizon never said it was. So basically a bunch of people convinced themselves and then got pissed at Verizon, lol

Today I noticed that this waiting room has had 231,640 views...

The thread started today, today about the phone possibly, possibly being available for pre-order tomorrow has had 4,197 views.

Unreal! What are we all going to do with ourselves when this phone is in our hands?!

How bothered will you be if Verizon doesn't release the phone until December 31, 2011?

You know I was reading the fine print of that $25 for $50 coupon deal. Couple of the points I noticed were:

PAID VALUE EXPIRES ON November 26, 2016 ? PROMOTIONAL VALUE EXPIRES ON December 31, 2011

Meaning the 25 bucks spent will expire in 2016 but the 50 buck deal expires on the 31st of Dec this year so in that respect yeah I'll be rather bummed. But I ain't gonna die or anything.

People can say what they like, the NS is still a bad @$$ phone. Love mine

I know it is...and it;s the only device that can run ICS right now. That's a huge proponent for anything with the name Nexus in it.

It still cracks me up how people will always find something to complain about. An I do love (not really) how there are always a bunch of people who throw out that "this is what blah should have been." It's like saying that we never should have had a beginning, or a journey...just gone straight to the end. What fun would that be?

See what all this waiting is doing to me...I'm starting to get philosophical.

Although this is no where near the debacle of HP Palm, announcing a "hype" phone then making people wait without solid dates is certainly a bad formula. Apple doesn't do this stuff. They want the week 1 impulse buys. Speaking of which, tis the season for such.

Maybe the word seamlessly is wrong. How about complicated? Or a convoluted release?

God I'm looking up definitions of words now.

Personally I really don't think its convoluted or complicated either. Verizon said end of the year. People are just getting themselves worked up over rumors and other comments from "people in the know" Its kinda ridiculous in my opinion

It really hasn't been that long though. If they showed the phone in May or something, fine, but we just saw it, what, a month ago?

Realistically, it is a ridiculously small group of people getting worked up. No reason for Verizon to worry about it
