Verizon Galaxy Nexus (Prime) Waiting Room

When I got my bionic from costco, Verizon had it when the store opened. Costco had to wait on fedex to get their stock at about 11:00. The bundle pack that it came with was awesome and they were $20.00 less. Came with car dock, desk charger, spare battery and charger.

Don't do it. In the long run you pay more for insurance than it would cost to simply buy a replacement phone on ebay if you rarely damage your phones. Over a 20month contract Verizon charges something like $7/month so $140 there. On top of that the deductible is $50 if you should use the insurance. So you'll spend $190 to get an equivalent replacement phone when you can probably buy that equivalent phone on ebay for less. If you don't break phones often then don't get the insurance.

The only caveat to this is if you are a fruit phone owner. The apple store has an insurance policy where you pay $50 bucks 1 time and you can get 2 replacements. That sounds like an inexpensive insurance policy that I would take advantage of it I wasn't opposed to apple products.
where will you be able to buy a Nexus for $190?

insurance is 9.99 a month plus $89 deductible last I checked. You won't get a nexus for that cheap until a year at most after it launches and I am sure some aren't going to want to wait that long.

Re: 9th?

My upgrade date is the 10th, so if it comes out on the 8th or 9th I will be a happy duck.

I think with all the misinformation floating around it is hard to believe anything until it shows up on the vzw site or verizon announces it.

Very true but we should fault ourselves for this by keeping these rumors alive. Nothing new though. There will be another unicorn device that we will be freaking out over.

Re: 9th?

BJ'S are official Verizon stores kiosks so they will have all released phones on the same dayas the brick and mortar stores without the waiting in line.

not necessarily true. I know other official verizon kiosks that do not get the phones right away.

I just stopped and thought this but anyone stop to think that that leaked ad for the $200 nexus wasn't 11/29 but rather 12/9?

Insurance on a iphone from Verizon is $9.99/mo. With a $150.00 deductible. I would think the nexus would be similar.

Iphone insurance is always more for the deductible than regular verizon phones. Most likely will be the same price though since they like to rip you off.

Re: 9th?

Maybe we'll see some Verizon Nexus commercials this Sunday night (or during the daytime football games). I think I remember the Bionic popping out their commercials touting it's Thursday release on the Sunday before. Then again, I really think Verizon is going to treat the non bloated Nexus as a bastard step child in the devices they promote. We may never see a Nexus commercial.

I agree with you. I do not think we will see any commercials unless they come from google and samsung. Verizon most likely will not put much into this phone it seems.
