I work at home so just left the house after getting the update. I am not getting a data connection since updating. I was getting 3g for a while (where I used to get 4g without an issue) but now I'm not even getting that. Any suggestions on where to look for any issues?

Camera flash comes on every time I get a call.
Is there any way to turn this off?

Battery life seems to be much worse after the update. I've lost 40% in three hours.

Same here and now even with the phone plugged in the charge cant keep up with anything. I used to be able to watch YouTube videos and the phone would still charge fully with no issue. Now my batter just continues to drop.

Looks like I'll be looking into an extended battery or something.

i'm asking about the factory reset because others with problems have reported that a reset fixes most issues. Also I would just like to know before I take this update.

WIFi hotspot apps no longer work. Verizon is overriding them all to get you to pay the $30/month.

Turn it on, then off.

No. That will be the last resort. I don't want to restore everything until I have to.

When I am on Chrome and I go to my(samsung) home screen then re-open Chrome I can read the header but the body of the screen is all black. Any thoughts?

I'm having the same issue. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. No data makes this phone much less useful.

Why is a factory reset needed?

I don't know that it's needed, I was just asking. Mainly because in a different thread some with problems did a reset and it resolved their issues. I just thought it would be nice to hear one way or another as to the effectivness of that proceedure. I've done it a couple times, and while it does take some time, Google does most of the work. And it just sems like a better option than simply putting up with an issue hoping it will just go away. I'm all about trying everything available to troubleshoot an issue...within reason, that is.
So if anyone decides to try it maybe you can report back with the results? I can't be the only one wondering.

Mine does the same thing. Looks like we need to find a way to clear the clipboard without opening up the clipboard contents. That may work.

Open phone dialer and long press the area above the phone keypad. Clipboard link should appear.

Battery is getting eaten alive. Android system is using 23%, Screen 20%. Media 15%, even though I'm not using anything with it.

Mine does it as well sometimes it will come back just by tapping the screen.
