Verizon Galaxy S7 Edge G935V, can I convert to AT&T G935U

I have been searching everywhere for this info and get conflicted answers.
I hope I can get the answer here.

Wife upgraded and gave me her Verizon G935V S7 Edge.
I am currently using it on Straight Talk with a AT&T sim
card. I had to change it from CDMA to GSM and add a new
APN setting for straight talk. It works but the signal is weak due
to LTE Band 17 missing. The band is used in my area and is popular for LTE.

I have been reading about the ODIN software and have seen a few examples of
people flashing their phones. My phone is at Android 8.0.

Can I flash the G935U firmware with Android 8,0 to it and have it more compatible with AT&T? I get yes, no, maybe,
but have not found anyone who has actually done it with a G935V at Android 8.0.

If anyone who knows for sure it can be done could you please post a site
with the info. I have the ODIN software, S7 Edge drivers, and I did down load
the G935U firmware for AT&T.

What I have read is the U.S. version of the S7 Edge regardless if Verizon, AT&T, etc.
all have the same hardware unlike the International version which uses a different processor.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ken

Don't know where you live but I know where I'm at Straight Talk uses Verizons network, and Verizon phones work on it without issue.

I think you'd be much better off with a Verizon SIM and running it in CDMA than try to replace the firmware.

Wherever you're at, Straight Talk uses all 4 networks.
@KenKK, All US versions use the same CPU, but that doesn't guarantee that they use the same hardware. (There's a lot more hardware than the CPU.) Just one thing at a different address, and the phone won't work with a different ROM.

The carriers won't tell you (because even their techs probably don't know) and Samsung isn't going to tell you, so about the only way you'll find out is if someone tried it and it worked, it failed but he flashed the V version back or it failed and bricked the phone (which is what you don't want to do). I suggest asking around in XDA's S7 Edge forums - if anyone's done it, you'll find him there.
