Bahahaha this thread is hilarious I just read thru everyone's comments. It's coming 8/1 I know it! Nope, it's coming 8/15 the Verizon store told me so!! Nope Lolllllll I'm so glad I left Verizon in April to pick up my HTC one.

Incorrect, I actually have been waiting fir the phone and actually want it. I'm the one who gave the correct release date too.

I'm just sick of people who come to this thread that's clearly for the Verizon One and bash people who are excited for this phone. So you clearly miss read my post.

Just got out of a chat with an online rep. Probably one of the least informed I've talked to thus far, besides the employee who tried to tell me Verizon wasn't getting the phone at all lol. Anyway, no news on colors or pre orders or anything, other than "what's the release date? I thought it was going to be the 29th" and "you're better off with an S4 to be honest and I hear they're getting a note 3 soon..." no info on blue or price drops or anything. I'd love to get it on day 1 but am hesitant about dropping 200$ for a half-year-old phone. There has been speculation that Amazon usually does price drops soon after a phone's release, and I will be pretty mad to get it on day one just to have it, and then see a drastic price cut or 2-4-1 deal just days or a week after.

edit: Jules has informed us the Wirefly has the One available for pre-order for 149$. Little better than 200 but what I'd like to know is how long I'd have to wait for a blue one

I'm pretty sure you could expect off contract to be somewhere around $649 originally.

AFAIK, they don't even make a 16GB version of the One. I believe they only have 32GB/64GB variants. That should be the standard for all smartphones but, sadly, some companies don't see it that way.

Yeah, I'm going to keep a close eye on my local Costco to see how much they offer it for. Also, Amazon is usually quick with discounts. I imagine some places will have it as low as $99 within a month.
