Verizon LTE Down... AGAIN!

The speeds are great when they work, but VZW's LTE reliability is turning out to be a joke. They need to get on the job and get this fixed FOR GOOD.

The Droid 3's running like a champ, but the 4G Jetpack hotspot is refusing to transfer data. Well done Verizon! 3 nationwide 4G outages in one month, if I didn't know any better I'd think that Verizon is purposely sabotaging 4G data to get people to return their Galaxy Nexuses (Nexii...whatever) because of the lack of bloatware on them. I know it's been beat to death but how do you advertise your 4G service as "The Nation's Most Reliable 4G Network" when you have three data outages in month and you don't offer your customers some kind of compensation or even an apology for ****s sake. Verizon's 4G LTE is still in it's beta stage apparently. We're all paying good money to be their guinea pigs because we can't get better voice and text anywhere else. Sucks to be us...lol.

Never really noticed that 4G was down, as I'm used to just leaving the Nexus in 3G the majority of the time (until I really need the speed, such as downloading or surfing the internets).

But, have 3G here in downtown Dallas, and no joy with 4G.

For those without any data at all, try switching to CDMA in the settings, then warm-boot and see if you can get 3G. Couldn't hurt.

Voice will still work, as that's not affected, I believe. So, you should still be able to make and receive calls...

St. Louis (O'Fallon to be exact) is down. Didn't think much of it at first when I saw it switching between 3G/4G but now it's just gone.

Calling in to tech support now, not that they can do anything but sometimes it's therapeutic to vent to them.

so will there be a galaxy nexus for use on at&t's LTE? i'm tired of verizon. yet another major outage and apparently the 'construction in your area' excuse/lie is a common one around the country. i have had a massive amount of small outages ever since verizon lte went live. its great how fast it is when its up, but there have been so many times here in nyc i just needed some data connection and had nothing.

I'm in Burlington, MA and no 4G or 3G for me. However, my co-worker in the cubicle right next to me, who also has a GNEX, is pulling in 3G. I just don't get it...

that's weird. here in Arlington I had no 3 or 4g just phone.

im thinking this is mainly a gnex problem, my co worker sitting right next to me has a pantech breakout and is getting 4g while im getting nothing at all..

it seems to be the times I've had problems were with handoffs from wifi to 3g/4g or between 3g/4g.

SE VA and no 3G or 4G. Did a battery and SIM pull and no change. Been out since at least 12:30 when I first noticed it.

Haven't had data for about an hour and a half but 3G just popped in. Still no 4G. Akron OH
I got 4G back around 1:30pm at my office in Barberton. It came back a few minutes after a reboot. Not sure that the reboot had anything to do with it though.

same here in Fargo, ND

Verizon 4G LTE suffering nationwide outage for third time this month

is this all a coincidence? A flood of new GNEX 4g on the market and all the outages??

The link says it's affected 3 and 4g on 4g phones. IOW, if you have a 4g phone and 4g goes down, you lose 3g also. Kind of makes 4g more of a liability than an asset.

I still like my gnex but wonder if they don't fix this, would I be better off on something a bit more.....outdated.
