Verizon Note 8 "Picture Loading" "Size Limit reached"

So we keep getting these messages on our Note 8's. "Picture Loading" on an incoming text and "Size Limit reached" when trying to attach a picture (using various ways)

Another friend of ours is getting the same problem. We are all using Verizon Message + 6.6.2. So that is 3 phones. We are on the latest firmware updates. Been happening since 23rd or 24th of Feb.

What we have tried:
Tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling
Reset Network Settings (WIFI, Mobile, Bluetooth)
Wiped Cache Partition
Turned Flight mode on and off and on and off
Force Stop on Message+, Clear Data and Clear Cache

Any suggestions, greatly appreciated.

What's the size of the file? VZ Messages+ had a size limit.

Size doesn't matter in this case. If you reboot the phone and try to attach the picture its works. When you reboot the phone, the picture eventually downloads ..but in both cases not til you reboot the phone.

Having to reboot 6-10 times a day

Have you tried the Samsung or Android messaging apps?
I had to ditch Message+ because it couldn't send MMS to non-Verizon phones.

Have not tried another app. We really like the Message+ app.

That's odd. I just sent some full size pics yesterday and a video the day before and it had no problems. Nor have I had any problems receiving photos and video. I'll check my settings.

I checked my settings and I have mine set to download images and audio using mobile data, and everything over wifi. Roaming I have images only.

In not sure if that helps.

Its an intermittent problem. Meaning it doesn't happen all the time. Its maybe 4 times it does it right, then failure. 4 more times then failure. Then mayb 6-10 times its ok, then failure again. I dont see a pattern but have to reboot multiple times per day to resolve the issue

I think this is worth trying, would help determine if issue is with Message + or elsewhere.

I've had no problems sending MMS to non-Verizon phones using Message+.
