Verizon raising the price for Unlimited Data Plan by $20 after November 15, 2015

Yeah, it'll be on your next bill for the cycle ending November 9th. The notification I mean, not the charge.

I'm sure you're right but maybe I'll get away with most of next month without the charge on the two unlimited lines we have. The wife just got the Motorola Pure and I have one on order so we are unlocked and have options if we decide to change carriers. We don't really need unlimited but there really hasn't been a reason to change so far.

I have unlimited data for 24.99 a month and every thing I keep reading says the price will increase by 20 dollars 30.00 to 50.00. Will mine increase from 25 to 45 or 25 to 50. I have not gotten word directly from Verizon about the price hike as of yet. Or just possibly i will slip by and keep unlimited for 24.99 (i know this is very unlikely). Any help would be appriciated.

Imagine those with the 20 dollars data discount go from paying 9.99 a month to 49.99 a month??

^^^^ That's been my reality for almost four years. (Prior to that I was only on 3G and that wasn't much better . . . )

It gets better at my apartment . . . sometimes I don't even get a connection off WiFi . . .

ATT is decent. I will have to look into Cricket. Wonder if I can take my vzw note 3 and still get gsm lte in Cricket?

I'm thinking of metropcs, but the rest thatvi know of are:straightTalk, cricket, virgin mobile, boostmobile

MetroPCS isn't a MNVO from what I remembered as they did have a network. Looks like they use T-Mobile after the merger but before, they had their own CDMA network.

Here is a list of MVNO's but not sure how up to date it is and if it's complete:

Currently they are a Tmobile mvno. Before they did have a cdma network but it has been sunset. They no longer operate any network, and strictly run off of tmobile

It doesn't support att primary lte band 17. But it does support lte band 4, which is a secondary band for att.

Assuming that you are on band 4, then both phones would get the same speed. However, the Verizon Note 3 doesn't support bands 2,5,and 17 which the att version supports. So this means that you won't get att lte unless you are in an area where att has deployed band 4 lte. Which means that you might see lower speeds as att band 4 isn't deployed everywhere, and band 4 doesn't have as good penetration as band 17 (700MHz)

I have 2 lines whose contracts expire approximately 1 year apart. The first expires in April. It looks like the new plan system will be my best option as my $155 plan will grow to $195 for unlimited data I don't even use. My question is can I swap my second line onto the new style XXL plan before the contract expires? As I understand it the new plans do not require a contract.

The new plans are not priced for subsidized phones.

So are you saying that if I keep my current plan I can still renew (Best buy method) And get a subsidized phone but I will pay the extra $20 monthly for UDP?

No, I have never done the BestBuy method (I've been off contract about five years now). I'm just suggesting that they won't let you switch to The Verizon Plan while you're on contract (without paying a penalty).
