Verizon raising the price for Unlimited Data Plan by $20 after November 15, 2015

I just tried once by calling and once by chat and they didn't have the promotion for me. Should I keep trying? I'm on the nationwide 700 min family plan.
As dpham00 stated try and call again. Things can drastically change with each rep. I would actually call a bunch more times.

Yea I'll try again. They said that different accounts had different promotions so I was wondering since I have the 700 min nationwide family plan, it was different for me. They said new promotions usually appear at the start of your billing cycle.

I'm on the 700 minute Nationwide plan with two lines (one UDP, one TDP). Both promotions (TXT, MIN) were available to me back in September/October of last year.

ok just called and got the 1 year international plan promotion which would extend my contract by a year.

Has anyone transferred their UDP upgrade to another line and used the upgrade? Do you get the $20 increase?

I'm curious because of this line in the notice re: the increase.

If any of your lines with an unlimited data feature are currently on a two-year contract, the increase will not begin until you complete your contract term or enter into
a new one.

To me, I read this as if you enter a new contract (renew), you'll get hit with the $20. But that doesn't make sense since you won't be month-to-month.

I do think that anything with Verizon at this point dealing with UD (unless you are currently still under contract ) means extra $20 per month. For example. I missed the deadline last year to avoid the extra $20 fee and now I am paying the $20 data fee per month but bc now vzw let's you upgrade and keep UD, I upgraded my UD line but activated the phone on a totally diff line...and I hadn't had any problems

Did you renew or just use DPP?

I would think since the contract was not completed, it wouldn't be hit with the $20 increase. That's how I'm reading it. With extension of contracts, they're not completed but just extended.

My billing cycle ends on the 13th of each month. I have 10 days left in my cycle and I have used 40gb. For me, it is worth the $50. I use it to surf the Web, apps, stream movies & music, Google maps, Skype with my kids & grandkids and even use it as a hot spot form time to time. I only use WiFi for my chrome cast.
I travel for work and the WiFi in the hotels can suck. I take advantage of the unlimited data.

The year is almost up when those promotions put us in contract so that we would not get the fee increase for unlimited data, are there new promotions to make the unlimited data last longer without the fee increase?

No one's reported any. I gave up hoping for another promotion like last year's and did the Best Buy and sell for my single line UDP. The information is in the big 500+ page thread here (starting about page 487, IIRC--the earlier stuff about the plain Best Buy method doesn't work anymore) and in the subreddit VerizonUDP. I'm still in the waiting mode to see if my Best Buy and sell attempt works.

They wouldn't report it yet since the $20 increase didn't begin until the bill on or after November 15, 2015 so there is still a few weeks more of time. Which 500+ page thread exactly as even this thread is only 29 pages with 706 posts so I don't have a page 487, the post # would be more valuable as each person can set the amount of posts to display per page.
