It's a business and making money is priority. They are not that stupid. releasing a $400 plus phone on Christmas or near Christmas is silly. Especially without advance notification for planning to their customers that will be doing major holiday spending at this time.

I have two upgrades and am wanting one for myself and one for my partner...and yes the Edge is going to be our Christmas gift to each other. I also have our two godsons on my contract. We used their upgrades to get our Note 3's last Christmas, and gave them our Note 2's. They are looking forward to getting our Note 3's for Christmas if we get the Edge, but I'm sure they would be willing to wait til the 26th if needed. So yep, cell phones for Christmas gifts is a big part of our family. My partner and I love getting the newest phone each year and our godsons are thrilled to get our 11-12 month old hand-me-downs!

I want it as soon as possible but I just hope it doesn't go past January 28th..... I'd like to have a new toy before my 30th birthday!

I am just logging in at midnight to check and when I take my kids to school in the morning (WAH HOO VACATION BABY!) And if its not there I will be disappointed but not mad.

One of the comments here indicated this would be a web only offering; no corporate stores (which means no retail stores either). Not sure how accurate or not that is.

Yrs I read that too, was thinking even if the store doesn't have them that I could pre-order it there our someone there could for me...If not, I'll try online but was hoping to speak to someone concerning my edge up plan cuz I would need to pay of a balance before trading in.

How do you work with Verizon that you have this information and no one else does? Can you show us something that validates this these dates? Also why would it not be in corporate stores when 48 corporate stores have display models?I happen to work with Verizon and have also been told by many accounts that the phone is set to go on Pre-order this friday the 18th and will be available to the public on the 26th of Month. The reason that the phone has been delayed is that there were bugs within the software and verizon is wanting to roll the phone out using Lollipop 5.0. This is not going to be a big release and you will not be able to purchase the phone in the corporate stores as it is a limited release. It is also important to note that the phone will only be availble in Black as the white is on back order.
As for previous comments that the phone wont be rolled out this year is because reps/ Supervisors do not receive updates until a day prior. The only way this gets pushed back is if testers run into another problem. At this point we are being told we have the green light. Just so everyone knows the targeted date for Verizons Launch was December 3rd but got pushed back due to the bugs they wanted to work out. Hope this information helps.
If my partner buys me the edge for Christmas and I buy her one, well basically that's like buying each other our own gifts. Lol SMH.
They still have no record of the Edge preorder for tomorrow nor a release for the 26th and this is coming from the employee list of devices coming out up to the end of the year. I mean, if it preorders tomorrow, that would be cool, but I dont see how it would because then it blindsides the employees who know nothing about it and have no idea on what to tell customers if they get calls. All employees in customer care when called have notifications on new devices, the features, and presentations of it so when customers call for pre-releases, they know how to advise. If they dont even have that for the Edge as of today, not sure how there would be a pre release for tomorrow.

As of today, employees and customer care over the phone reps still have no communication on the release of the Note Edge. See my comment prior.
