I'm very interested in this having just moved and now using VZW wifi and between hubby and I have gone over the past 2 months. Wonder if they'll let me backdate it when I switch plans tomorrow? Our plan starts on the 4th.

They will most likely work something out since you just started the plan. I would give them a call tomorrow to see what they can do to help :).

You can usually back date to the beginning of the billing cycle for plan changes. I did it in the past. But of course you would have to talk to Verizon.

Darn. I'll be glad if/when they come out with something better than I'm currently on. 10 GB family share for $60/mo plus line access. Just not worth it to change plans yet.

Apparently downgrading to the S from the M plan sets off red flags because I'm bundled with century link. Get 50% off my home internet being bundled. Would not be an issue if I were upgrading my Verizon.plan. So guess I'm gonna hang loose for awhile. Verizon said I would have to de-enroll from century link to save the ten bucks. Unclear if getting century link bundle back would be doable. CL is an amazingly complicated company to deal with. :(

So if you're on the old XL plan and switch to the new XL plan, I'm assuming the 2 gig bonus data for life doesn't carry over to the new XL plan....

I am 99% sure it won't. That is why they do things like this .. Promo is good for the life of the plan (the 2 GB bonus) but there may be nicer things ahead that basically put you in a bind where you have to figure out if the 2 GB bonus is the best or the rollover.

I backdated. I signed up on My Verizon. I think its well worth the extra cost. I have a corporate discount from my company. 8.00 more. Its OK with me to have these options

It looked like a no brainer for us also, then I was told I would lose my current "extra" data I got for activating Android Pay. Will look into it again next cycle early august.
