Verizon Version of the S3

Maybe I'm off my rocker, but is there a chance that the Verizon version of this phone is different from the version carried by other US carriers? I know that it is not uncommon for Verizon to trail others in phone launches, but could this be something else?

What's your point?

The Korean version has the exynos quadcore + an additional chip for lte support similar to how Verizons current lte device are. Thus why the korean version will be slighlty thicker. The NA version with the s4 is the only soc with integrated lte.

Right. But what relevance does that have to the Verizon version?

They are all the same thickness... .34 inches LTE or not.

Samsung wanted them to be THE SAME across the world. One looks like the other.

Specs - Verizon Wireless Cell Phones SCH-I535 | Samsung Cell Phones

Specs - T-Mobile Cell Phones SGH-T999 | Samsung Cell Phones

I hate when people guess when the facts are available.

Edit: Yes, the international version is .34 inches as well. Google that yourself. PLUS... the AT&T and Sprint Versions are also LTE.

If they really did change to the thicker Korean version, I hope my 5 cases still fit. I really need to stop buying cases!

Samsung Galaxy S III variant for Korea may be the world's first quad-core LTE smartphone
take your own advice and google search. The quad core lte is thicker than the others. Due to the 2 chips not being integrated.....BOOM!

To clarify, my speculation was that the Verizon version and the version for Korea are one and the same.

you quoted my post which was referring to the differences between the korean and North American lte versions. Reading is key.

Yeah, I would agree, and the Korean phone has what to do with the Verizon model?

I will man up and say that I ignored the lkorean model. My point really being, the specs are out there as to what the verzon model is. We do not need to guess. No, you wil not be able to get the Korean Model to work on Verizon. They are a little picky about what the let on their network.

Go back and read the post you quoted and you will see they were talking about the quad core korean version with lte. Don't just quote people actually read it first..

Not the first internet battle I have lost wont be the last :)

Randal: And I hope it feels good.
Video Store Customer: You hope what feels good?
Randal: I hope it feels so good to be right. There's nothing more exhilarating than pointing out the shortcomings of others, is there?

Cheers!
