Went to my local AT&T store to check out the GS3. To my amazement, i found out that the GS3 does NOT have an LED light that flashes, when emails, texts, or calls come in. Will this be rectified when the JB update comes out, or will i be waiting for the SG4, and hoping that they put it on that phone.

No they dont appear as they come in but they do flash for missed notifications

It sure does have an LED that blinks for missed calls and messages. It works differently than BB, as it only blinks when the screen is off, so it alerts you when you are away from your phone.

Whatever your point is.....The GSIII absolutely HAS LED Notifications. When an email, txt, FB something, missed call, or anything else you want notified of, the GSIII LED will flash IF THE SCREEN IS NOT ON. If the screen is off...the LED will flash. You can "wake up" the screen, see what you've missed, let it go black and the LED will blink again.
Long time BB guy here. The GSIII LED Notification work really well.

I will repeat my answer a little differently:
On my S3, I get LED notifications for missed calls, emails, and text messages. When my screen is on, I get just a tone and vibrate with no LED, as you can hear and feel the notification.
When my phone is on my desk with the screen off, I get a tone and vibrate and LED.
It works really well except you cannot assign different LED colors for contacts (yet).
So yes there are LED notifications on the S3 AS THEY ARE COMING IN!!!!

Hell yeah there's an LED light that flashes for notifications. I love it allows me to turn ringer off and still respond

Light Flow is to Android as BerryBuzz is to BlackBerry.

It gives you further control over your LED including personalized LED colors, patterns, timers, etc.

I haven't tried it non-rooted (lately). It seems like there are still some kinks but much improved from where it was a few months ago. You can read the status here:

The developer is actively working to get the kinks out. Again, it's pretty perfect for me on a rooted device.
