VZW sticker logo

True. Apparently from what I've learned, this is the case with the VZW logo:
64GB version has never had the logo.
Both 32GB and 64GB (Blue ballistic nylon) versions sold by Best Buy do not have the logo (according to what I've been told).
Upon initial release, the first couple of batches of 32GB (ballistic nylon) Turbos did not have the logo. (A number of the review sites that acquired a 32GB Turbo for reviewing, received them sans logo.)
All 32GB Turbos there after have the logo.

I know not everyone is bothered by it. I wasn't until I learned of the clear case options, then it seemed to stick out like a sore thumb.
So this info and removal method isn't for everyone. I know that. But for those who are in the same boat as me.. at least we know there is a safe method to remove it. (Thanks to VZW for not making it permanent like on a button.)

Not sure what happened to your post, but I just took these shots and don't see the tint or flash back your were talking about.
First is without flash, second is with flash.

Sorry, I have several clear cases and cited the wrong one in my post. The one causing the problem is actually the Moko Clear Case. Was hoping I'd zapped the post before you saw it. Of a bunch of cases, that one is the only one I've seen corrupt the flash. My apologies for the confusion.

No problem. I have read here and there about flash issues with clear cases, but couldn't recall which cases they were about. Your post just got me curious if I had gotten the wrong case. But all is well, no flash back. I do thank you for reminding me to check this though. :)

This thread is different to me. Usually people complain the VZW logo is plastered on the phone everywhere like past models of phones. You never see this one UNLESS you have a clear case as the OP has or use no case at all. And yet people want to remove it? Guess everyone has their preferences.

Of course, mine is one of the 64GBs that just has the "Droid 64GB" down to the bottom and no VZW logo. But because I use a NFL Otterbox, it's never seen. Just the team logo, that's all.

Im glad to have the 64 G without the verizon logo. I do actually like the DROID 64BG logo though and to the person who asked if you can get rid of that too...it looks like you cant because if you look close you see the BN is cut around it.

Funny, remember the days of the old flip phone that said verizon front and back and again near the speaker inside!?

I don't know why that's a big deal about the carrier logo being on the phone. You should be proud that you have the best network and promoting it!

I get what you're saying - you picked the network, why do you not like the logo/name? But to some people there's an aesthetic to it. The Verizon logo is not a particularly attractive one to begin with. Then there's the constant advertising companies do at their customers' expense. It seems more and more that companies give you a little of what you want and a little of what they want. Another good example is bloatware. Very few people use it, fewer want it. But you don't really get the choice anymore. Verizon and the droid may be one of the best carrier/phone combinations out there right now, but Verizon's going to make a few decisions for you whether you like it or not.

All that said, I have a 32g Kevlar back and was able to completely remove the Verizon logo with just my fingernail. Looks just fine. While my finger did no damage to the phone, it did reveal a small bit of damage from something getting stuck inside the case and rubbing around. Nothing that bothers me though. If I get around to taking a picture of it, I'll post.

The way I see it is its like buying a brand new car....and having that stupid dealer logo on the back trunk hatch, having both license plate holders have the dealer name, having dealer floor mats. When you get a new car or phone, some like to have it stylish and sleek and clean and have no ads all over it. Of course the motorola and droid 64gb badges i like but the rest take away from the sleekness and premium feel of it. same with a car that has the printed dealer name on the hatch. never would I buy a BRAND new expensive car that has that. I want the car to be nice ad clean and organized looking without stupid stickers especially ones saying the dealers name. Same with buying a cheap laptop (expensive ones arent typically as bad). Cheap laptops have that huge awfl sticker on the front explaining all the crap about it. Preloaded with skype!!! yay! I need a sticker for that! lol.. my nice aluminum asus came with one nice windows 8 sticker on the bottom and one silver good looking core i3 sticker on front. looks great, no skype stickers, no sticker talking about the webcam.. just a nice sleek aluminum computer

Is that a good comparison?

I can see the car reference as I'm the same way. No dealer I go to puts stickers on but even if they do they remove them as you most likely know. A phone, however, it doesn't matter to me for some reason. Maybe its cause it didn't cost $33K lol

That is a very relatable analogy. Thank you.. couldn't have said it better myself.

Not all dealerships remove their brandings/emblems/logos themselves. I purchased a $42k Ram truck recently and I had to spend some time removing their license plate frames and, using a heat gun and a lot of patience, removed their glued on emblem from the tailgate.

For me, the two are the same. Whether I am buying a $600 phone or a $42k truck.. I am buying it. Period. By definition that makes it mine (and the bank's in the case of the Ram, lol). I am not paying bookoo bucks to flaunt their logos around for them. As mentioned, I have removed the dealer's stuff from my truck, and I have been considering removing certain Ram badges as well (referred to as de-badging, for those who are unaware) since the 'Ram 1500' on both front doors take up nearly 70% of the real estate on the doors. I'm not a Nascar driver, I don't plaster my truck with brand stickers or emblems. Now, if those companies decided to donate parts/items to me for use on my truck, then I would probably reconsider it. (I certainly wouldn't turn down a S&B CAI if one were offered to me!) But until then.. no stickers.

Same goes for my VZW phone. The sticker logo is admittedly tiny in comparison to other VZW phones I have had in the past. And, bonus, it is removable. If I wasn't so taken by the appearance of the ballistic nylon backing, I would have simply slapped another Seidio case on it and called it done. However, I am one who is loving the clear case idea in order to put the appealing BN on display. Therefore, the VZW logo - at least on this phone - had to go.

Bottom line: If I want to parade around displaying logos, I'll buy a $30 hoodie sweatshirt with 'Salt Lake City' or 'Ram Trucks' or -insert brand name here- on the front and call it a day. Or I'll pay out $12 for a clear/naked phone case with 'PureGear' plastered on the back. I do not care to pay out hundreds, or thousands, of dollars for most anything that forces me to be a walking, talking billboard when I do not want to be one. I prefer the option.

If you ask they should. If not say you'll walk. Lol :p

Thanks, yea I just dont like all that branding crap, I like my stuff more sleek and that one sticker really ruins it

I don't care for the Verizon branding but, neither do I find it intolerable on a high-end, flagship, carrier-exclusive phone. My vehicles are another deal altogether when it comes to dealer stickers & badges. I routinely tell them that if they wish to rent the ad space on my vehicle we'll negotiate a monthly fee to keep it there. Lacking that, it will be removed. Not surprisingly, I've had no takers on the rental fee yet and they've all removed their logos so far...and, done so rather cheerfully after my offer.
😜

So I was nervously fingernail picking and fidgeting with what I thought was a piece of loose BN and accidentally picked off the V. So I kept going. Got this far and thought it was funny. Veri Droid.

My original Turbo BN 32GB (that I removed the logo from) suffered a water encounter and has been replaced by insurance. Just following up on the previous discussion here... my replacement has no Verizon logo on the back. It has a build date of December 21, 2014. I have no way of verifying what the build date was of my original BN as the display no longer functions, however I believe it was in January 2015 sometime. This just proves that Verizon didn't add their logo to all the BN phones at first and started slapping them on there in following productions. Anyhoo, bonus here is this is one less thing I have to do to get my new BN set up the way I like it.

It appears to be just embossed lettering. I rubbed/scraped the verizon logo off. You can probably use a mild solvent. Looks good without the logos.
