VZW won't let me downgrade

Any thoughts welcome!
VZW won't allow me to downgrade from note2 to 3G phone so I can sell my phone.
I tried to swap on CL, to no avail.
Every time I try to swap meid online, response is call CS.
Called CS support and got no where after 30 minutes.
Ideas?

What phone to what phone? What plan are you on? How many lines?

Did the other phone have a clean ESN? what did CS say the reason you couldnt do it was? what phone were you trying to downgrade to ? and why would you want to downgrade?

Take it in store. As long as it is a supported phone. You can't use any GSM phones. Maybe that is why.

Let us know the model name. Could really help.

Sorry, just got back. downgrade for old 3g phone so could activate on my wife's line. She loves this thing. Have another upgrade available next month. So looking forward to getting another note 2.
Ended up taking it to the Store to do the switch. For some reason they wouldn't let me switch it on line or they (CS) were confused.
My wife has a 4g Droid 4. (Sorry not for me). Anyway! Thanks to everyone for the posts.

the big push is towards 4glte, when i went from a 3g to a 4glte i actually got a discount off the phone price because i was moving up.. you prob see 3g phones slowly go away as 4g and 4glte become more widespread. i dont know if that has anything to do with it, but i can see long term 3g phones being phased out

There's really no reason for them as all 4g phone's work fine on 3g. I'm surprised they still sell any.
