What Are You Upgrading From

I'm *sidegrading* from my iPhone 7 Plus MB 256. Keeping both. My wife is THRILLED. I certainly appreciate the new recliner I got gifted before this debacle 🤦🏼*♂️

I'm upgrading from S7 edge but ordered the S8 hopefully it won't feel too small lol

Upgrading from GS7. Had every Galaxy S smartphone since the GS3 except the GS5 which I skipped.

Currently have the Pixel, Pixel XL and S7 edge. By the time the S8 shows up, I might have a LG G6 as well.
I have a bad habit of trying out new phones.
Trying out or giving them a home?
I would go nuts keeping all of those phones the way I wanted them.

I'm coming from the S7E via the Note7. Typically, I only upgrade one a year to the new Note. This is just a stop gap for me until the Note8.

Why is everyone saying every phone they own? The question was what phone are you upgrading from? Lol.
Some people are actually using 3 phones at a time. Not sure how you pull that off or even why, unless you're continually swapping your sim card.

I have two phone lines and one data line. I stopped trying to swap SIM cards. With my current plan setup it costs me about $110 for three lines.

I was thinking about getting rid of my iPhone 7 Plus 256GB for the S8+, but I prefer onboard storage vs expandable memory.

I may just keep my iPhone for business trips and use the S8+ for my daily driver.

Not going with the LG G6? I think the S8 is going to be my jump back to Android after a long hiatus with iOS and my 6s Plus. It's been a good phone, but man does iOS bore me. I think I'm waiting for the unlocked version of the S8, though.

I had the G6 for five days, but the camera got scratched up and I had to return it.

The only reason I'd stay on iOS is that everyone in my family has an iPhone and if I got the S8 I wouldn't be able to enjoy FaceTime or iMessage with them.

I like iMessage, but I can live without it. And with things like Duo and Facebook messenger I can get away with it. I'm hopefully going to check out the S8 today to be sure I want to make the jump. iOS just seriously needs a refresh. So much of it is old and stale.

I wish Samsung had FaceTime, all my family also use iphones. 😕

Nexus 6P.

Best phone volume of any device I've ever owned but crappy Google phone, contact, text and voicemail apps.

Went from the LG G3 to the note 7, then to a LG v20 when the note 7 went dead, and now switching from the v20 (which I love) to the s8+. Going to give the v20 to a family member.

I have the LG G3, but that phone is not working very well now so T-Mobile gave me a loaner phone which is the Samsung On5 (basic phone for the time being) till my Samsung 8+ comes in.

I also have the Nexus 6p. I was holding out for the Pixel 2 in the fall but it appear that my deal breaker for Samsung phones (Godawful touchwiz) has been toned down enough that I can bear it.

I just can't see how Google can make a phone more beautiful than this one. And it won't come with an SD slot either.

If I wait till my 2 years is up on my Nexus (November), will the S8 plus be cheaper by then?

Moving from the S7 to the S8. Giving the S7 to my son (struggling college student and ex Marine whose current S5 has decided not to work anymore).
