What do you want to see on the Nexus 10?

What kind of hardware would you like to see on the Nexus 10, and what do you expect the price to be? Personally, I'd like a 1080p screen and I'd expect the cost to be around 300 dollars (if they sell it nearly at cost, like the N7) for the base unit. That would shake the market.

There will not be a Nexus 10. The only statement from Google on the subject was there are no plans for one.

Pease show me a link. Google stated at I/o that the N7 will be getting a "big brother" from reading these links it seems absolutely impossible a N10 isn't coming out.

Well, I personally don't want 10" I think it is too big IMO. I would love 8.8 or 9". That would be pretty cool. Even 8.7". Also, I don't think Google has any plans to make one. But 1080P screen, even as early as this December just wouldn't cut it. The iPad has way higher resolution than that. I think at the very least, it needs to be 1920x1200. I would like it to be Super AMOLED Plus. Some sort of Quad Core more powerful than a Tegra 3. Maybe the Tegra 3 + or w/e is coming the second half of the year. Stereo speakers, 1lb weight, as thin as the Galaxy Tab 10.1 or thinner. Next version of Android (After Jellybean). 3 MP front facing camera. Better speakers than any of the ones we have on tablets right now. Other than that, I don't care. ^_^

I don't go on rumor and still don't believe there will be a Nexus 10.

Re-read my post I edited it. Google clearly stated the N7 will get a "big brother". They're also buying up HUGE amounts of 10 inch touchscreens. Please provide a link to the statement you said you read.

I want the Nexus 10 to be 7 inches. I doubt there will ever be a Nexus 10, Google has a hit with the current N7. The only thing I would want to see next is an improved Nexus 7.

At 1080p it would be the same pixels per inch as the N7. I would be happy with the same tegra 3 in the N7. I can't think of any use that a more powerful CPU would provide, besides a higher cost.

Yeah, same PPI as the Nexus 7 is exactly why its not high enough. The iPad is larger, more space, and higher density. Also, the Samsung quad core Exynos benchmarks much higher than Tegra 3. I wouldn't that processor, but Snapdragon is supposed to have their quadcore chips out soon. The drawback on a new processor though, is not being able to play the Nvidia games. So maybe sticking with Tegra 3 would be for the best.

If the Nexus 10 isn't full HD then it will be behind the curve. But being that it looks to be a value tablet, then that might be what you should expect.

Also, will a nexus device ever have microSD? This is kind of a big deal...but again, value.

$300 for not top of the line but a good device. It will sell well.

I'd be happy with the same PPI on the N7 for 300 bucks. It's only 48ppi less that the iPad 3 and looks great.

Just because the Nexus 7 is a low priced tablet doesn't necessarily mean Google has to hold back on the Nexus 10. I don't think it needs to be a $300 10 inch tablet to be successful. They already have the Nexus 7 available for the budget conscious. Now the 10 inch version should be Google's chance to provide a higher end Nexus experience.

And the last couple of Nexus devices have been a bit ahead of the curve when it comes to display resolution. And hopefully that trend continues with the Nexus 10 being 1920x1200.

No micro SD is expected. It's a Nexus platform and Google wants to push us towards it's online services. And since the price has been pretty good, I can forgive this. I'm hoping for a 32GB capacity, but won't be surprised if that doesn't happen.

As for processor, I'd be shocked if it wasn't a Tegra 3. But I do hope they go with a higher end T33.

Price around $400 to $500. Like I started with, I don't really want this to be a value tablet like the Nexus 7, I would like to see this be a bit more premium with better SoC, maybe some Gorilla Glass 2, Super IPS+ or something, etc.

Oh and the design should be like the Nexus 7. I think it's a great design. ASUS seems to obsessed with making their own tablets super thin, and I think the Transfomer Infinity with it's mix of aluminum and plastic on the back is ugly and tacky looking. I'd much rather have a slighty thicker tablet with a plastic back with rubberized texture like the Nexus 7 has. And I love the edges are not too tapered so sharply like the iPad 2/3 and Transformer Prime/Infinity tablets, it rests more comfortably in the hand too.

1920x1200 is 1080p. Same PPI as the Nexus 7.

When someone says "1080p" I immediately think of 1920x1080, a 16:9 ratio. And there are some 16:9 ratio tablets out there and I think that's a horrible aspect ratio for a tablet, too wide and not tall enough.

So I specified 1920x1200, which is 1200p really, and worthy of the distinction, to indicate I hope this is a 16:10 ratio like most Android tablets (and I'm sure it will be).

I'd like a microSD card slot, and an option to have it on Verizon's 4G LTE network (off contract though.)

If it comes out I'm ready to shell out 500 but only if it has keyboard dock and sd card slot.

Yes yes I can just get transformer prime but I really love the vanilla os and I'm sticking with nexus line :).

For screens and such as long as its similar or better than nexus 7 then I don't mind at all

I don't see an SD slot ever. Google has basically declared war on SD.
