What does Slate back color really look like?

I don't really trust the motomaker site for the actual colors, so I was hoping to see if someone already has a moto x 2014 with a Slate back color and could either post a photo or video of it, please? I was thinking of slate back, white front and silver trim. But I need to confirm what slate will actually look like.

I'd go to the store to see for myself, but I'm abroad for a while and here they only have black and chalk.

This is the AT&T version called "Black Resin", I don't know if it's the same thing? Picture taken with my Moto X 2013 under fluorescent light.

It's a very dark charcoal grey, the texture is somewhere between rubber and leather and it looks nice in my opinion. This was my only color choice with my AT&T plan but I think it's rather elegant and nice-looking, except for the death star. But oh, well. Case coming in tomorrow, I hope.

Check the thread that is pinned to the top titled Show Off Your Design. Check page 14- onthecouchagain took pictures of his Moto X with slate back. I think it looks great. Hope that helps!

I went back to the original post and I had misread "slate back" as "slate black". LOL

But, yeah, the resin black is extremely stylish. I'm almost reluctant to cover up the build quality of this thing with a case, but I have butterfingers so as soon as my case comes in I'll never see the phone nekkid again.

I really like the slate back. It kind of looks a little darker or light depending on the light, which I think is cool.

Man, I'm really confused from all the pictures of the slate back. Depending on the light, it seems, slate is either a darker grey or a lighter cement-like color.

It does seem to change if you will with different lighting. I like it.

How does the back feel? Smooth? Slippery? Soft touch?

Not sure what the soft touch feels like. Its not like the nexus 5 feel but not as slick as the galaxy s4. It is a little textured.
