What problems are you experiencing with the Essential Phone

Yeah it depends on case to case to basis, I had zero issues on other phones where I restored. But just a suggestion in case people have issues and they did a restore, doesn't hurt trying factory reset and start fresh to see if it resolves.

People have to be careful what is being restored. Can't just restore all.

In developer options I reduced window, transition and animator scales down to .5x just to see how well it works. It feels even quicker. Bare Android might be bare but she's quick.

I did this in all though it feels a little quicker it seemed to not be a smooth as the stock settings, I just did another factory reset and setup a fresh install and left the transitions at 1X. I think it performs much smoother for me

Yup. It stays connected to lte while on a voice call and sounds great, much better than my pixel did.

Mine is not working with VoLTE. Anyone else?

Ok update from my side after factory reset and doing a fresh start instead of restoring from my Google backup.

What a difference, finally feels like a 2017 phone
No hangups, screen freezing etc so I'm happy now at least software performance wise. I forgot why I used to start from fresh perviously, got lazy recently since have too many phones and was reverting from my Google backup instead of fresh start. But now I remember why I used to do a fresh start on a new phone before

So those who are having screen freezing, and other software problem and you set up the phone from restoring from backup, it won't hurt factory resetting and setting up as new. Definitely helped me.

My essential phone cell signal was not as strong as my other phones. So I reset the network settings that did the trick it;s fine now. I have not had any issues with his phone, other than that.

For what it's worth. Every new phone I get i set it up as a new devise. So far I have only had 1 issues, and i corrected that with a network reset. I do not use launchers, I don't play games. I have about 10 apps I install on all my phones. So far this phone has given me no issues.

I have to admit the build quality is one of the best I have EVER held. I really does make the Note 8 feel cheap. It's absolutely beautiful. However, I'm very centric on customer service and that is where Essential has seriously lost me.

I'm with ATT with no issues. The only issue I seemed to be having at the moment is Smart Lock doesn't seem to display my devices I have set as Smart Lock. Might just he user error. I been fortunate to seem to have no issues other than non existent customer service. Lord forbid I have warranty issues.

I have an unlocked phone direct from essential on att. The signal strength has been questionable. I just did a network reset. More to follow. I have the touch problem where the phone has no clue I touched the screen. I switched to the Google camera app. Need the touch problem fixed!!!! Hardware is awesome. Waiting for some apps to fix themselves like textra and YouTube. Praying these updates come quickly.

Only two of the phones in your list intrigue me since I am on Verizon for now and that is the Note 8 and V30. I do not think I could buy either one with similar specs for $699

I was attracted to the phone for its size. I like smaller phones. Note and LG is off my list. I have a U11 right now which is still a tad too large for my hands. I figured there might be some bugs so I'm glad I didn't go with my Reserved unit. I think I'm going with the Sony Xz1 compact. That thing with 4gb ram and a 835 with a 720p screen is going to fly! It's also waterproof, has improved front stereo speakers and a headphone jack
