What to do with the Google Debit balance

[AC Question]

Old wallet allowed for a cash/debit card balance for retail tap'n'pay. With the functionality split, the debt card resides in new wallet but is unavailable for retail. When I try to enter it into AP, it tells me it is an unrecognized card. If not using the physical card, do I have to transfer out the money I transferred in?
