What benefit is there to Oreo that N doesn't have? Haven't been following the O beta. I'd bet b4 the eoy.
Main benefit for me is the automatic filling API for password managers.

I am more worried about the carriers screwing it up.I just hope Samsung doesn't screw it up like usual.
Explain what you mean it has gone backward...There is really not that much in Oreo to get excited about. In some respects, it has gone backward, IMO.

This. I don't see much of anything to be excited about in Oreo. The API filling thing will be helpful, but other than that.... We've had PIP on Samsung phones for forever.I have it on my Pixel XL. For the most part, you do not even notice the update except is a few areas that will be obvious to the average user. They will notice the change to the color palette for the notification shade and menus and changes to the settings menus. Some may like the color change, but to me the stark grayish white is a step backwards. The settings menus are different, which may make it harder for some users to find the right setting. They are small items, but as I said, they are a step backwards, at least to me. Samsung and other manufacturers change most of these items or offer options for the user, anyway, so they will likely not be issues when they are rolled out in a few months. My point is that I have a hard time seeing the real benefit from Oreo to the point where people should have a concern or get upset about not quickly seeing the update.
Umm... we still don't even have 7.1! LMAO... so NEVER.
