Where's the 4.0.3 update?

I would like a patch to separate the phone and notification sound, I leave my phone on 24/7 so I only what the phone to ring @ night not to hear all the other sounds set up for other stuff like email , FB, twit, etc. This is the 1 BIG thing I miss over my BB. or maybe some can help me a split it with an app or something.

I have tried multiple sound profile apps and none of them work in separating the ringer and notification volume. What I have done is use a notification tone that is silent. This way the effect is you can receive the emergency phone call and not be disturbed by notifications.

Thats nice that google is making small "Under the hood" enhancements to the OS, but WHAT ABOUT THE RADIOS!? Connectivity is really my biggest complaint. Anyone thats used 4.0.3 know if this update will bring improvement to that issue?

I don't get it vzw and google ruined the nexus. I mean this phone is designed to b rooted and unlocked but folks are scared or intimidated to go exploring.

Try downloading Simple Sound Profile from the market. Works well for me coming from a Blackberry.

Let me guess: smoother, faster, bug fixes. Like every one of the like 10,000 updates for Blackberrys that people used to download from all over the world back in the day. Some of those dudes must have ended up with the smoothest/fasted phone in history!

I tired sound profiler. Is there a profiler that will turn e-mails off but yet leave on text messages and phone calls. It seems that with this profiler you can turn off notifications and leave on phone calls or visa versa

It's cool, it wasn't directed at you specifically. People in general just seem to be getting impatient in other threads as well and are claiming the phone sucks and updates need to be now or they are going to return the phone.

Well with such a big, improving update on the way can you really blame them?

Yeah setting up can be a pain, but after unlocking and rooting then installing titanium backup and doing a backup it really is not that bad.

I've installed maybe 10 roms and rom updates and each one did a full data wipe. After doing it so many times it gets to be a non issue. I can get back to my setup in maybe 15 minutes, most of that time is waiting for titanium to do its thing.

So if thats the only thing holding you back, its not so bad. And when you experience a custom 403 rom you will wonder why you didn't do it sooner.

Oh I know. I used to be a ROM freak. I'm just being insanely lazy.

Anyone know what's going on with this? People running roms based on 4.0.3 are saying it's a big improvement and it fixes things that are currently driving me nuts about my Nexus (laggy browser and multi-tasking button).

I would just flash a 4.0.3 rom but I don't feel like setting up everything all over again.

I remember how i use to notice all these little bigs and do everything to try to fix them with root and roms. But after the bb storm and number of Android devices i just stopped stressing. Does my Nexus miss a couple bars from here to there? Yeah but i always able to load pages and receive call fine. Hell this thing on 1 bar of 4g is fastern than my tbolt on 3 bars. Bugs will always exist. U jist need to learn how to live with them. N you know what helps the most. Not being on these forums 24/7 to remind about minor bugs you woukd have never known about if u werent browsing these forums. Real talk. Try it

The 4.0.3 bugless version I'm running did not fix my bad data issues. I have yet to drop a call, though. Yesterday I checked my battery stats and saw 46% without signal in cell standby after 6hr on battery. That's pretty bad. I work in a not-so-great reception area, but my OG Droid was never that bad. That being said, when I do have data, it's blazing fast. My friend was comparing our phones (his =Gs2 4G att-can't remember subtitle) and thought my 3g was as fast as his 4G.

WOW! You just don't get it. I won't get on the soapbox but maybe this is why insurance premiums for everything are so high!! Please look up the word fraud. Then check out ethics and integrity because you obviously don't know the meaning of those either.
