Who is fully committed to getting the Bionic?

I have every intention of getting one. I'm a big fan of Motorola. I love my Droid X and the only problem I have with it is that I've managed to somehow mess up the bottom of my screen, so now my unlock slider does a fun dance and I can't type quite right every now and again, but I still wouldn't trade it (except for a Bionic of course!)
I'm a firm believer of the fact that Motorola hasn't been leading us on with delay after delay (all the release dates were only speculation). Sure, they could have given us more information, but Apple is the same way lol
And as for the pentile screen, well...I must have crappy eyesight (It is pretty bad, actually). I don't see the problem with it, and when I compare my Droid X to the pictures that someone magnified of the status bar...well...I know my X isn't pentile, but my eyes can't even focus on the time that close. I'm not too worried.

It's been a while since I had a phone mailed to me, doesn't Verizon require that someone sign for it. Just asking because it would suck to get home and instead of a shiny new phone you get a slip of paper saying they tried to deliver and they will try again whenever they feel like it!

I got it covered. I work days and my wife works nights. She'll be here to sign for it. Speaking of my wife, I think I have a new plan. She can sign and then not even go back into the house. Just jump in her car and drive it down to me.

Lol if I get it before 12, then I can go get it myself during lunch. If it comes after 12...depending on my schedule next year, I get off about 2 or 3. But I'll give it a guess that I'll get it about 5 or 6, meaning I'll be home. I got it all planned out. And I'm also going to guess that I'll have a some stupid big report due the next day XD.

SG2 has been getting crazy good reviews and looks different from the classic "box" of the Moto phones.

SG2 has a better camera, slightly faster processor and better screen. Droid Bionic is going to need a "Wow" factor for me to get it because it doesn't stand out really.

You can leave a signed note asking them to leave it; I always do this as nobody is home during the day.

At this point I think I'm still a definite. It does make me feel better that I'll have 30 days to exchange it. In those 30days, I should be able to give it a good trial period and if I don't like it, there seem to be some other good offerings coming in that 30 day window. Perhaps the Vigor or the G2S. Who knows...looking pretty good so far.

I am 95% certain that I am getting this phone. I like moto's build quality, its difficult to really bust them.

I had a RAZR that flew out of my pocket on a rollercoaster during a loop and the park found it, sent it back to me, and it still worked 100% fine. No need for an otterbox with that!

I am. I got my OG Droid 3 days after they were available, and I have absolutely loved it. Tough as nails, I hike with mine as a music player/audio book reader/phone and I have accidentally dropped it 4-5 time: dents in the metal case but gorilla glass has never cracked (I know, i just don't like cases, most of the time it rides naked in my pocket). Can't see doing this with a Sammy SGSII or even an HTC without serious damage. I love the whole industrial "Droid" concept, and the Bionic appears to have the same metal-cased, tough, industrial look that drew me to the OG Droid...just bigger, faster and much more capable than my old friend (with lots more memory, thank heavens!). I've played with the MAP interface on the D3 and really think it's actually kinda nice. I've compared the DX and the DX2 screens side-by-side and there is not enough of a difference to these middle-aged eyes to care about. I've had an upgrade since early July and I'm not waiting for The Next Big Thing...Droid Bionic is my next phone!

Ditto to everything that KSDroid01 said, cept the hiking thing. lol The only problem i've EVER had with my OG Droid is its ability to swim. Turns out Moto has not yet developed a 'water resistant' phone capable of depths of 2 feet. lol I walked my phone (in pocket) into a swimming pool a year ago and realized it 30 seconds later to which i was greeted with a flickering screen and strobe-like effect from the LED Flash until i could get the case off... and then pull the battery. Never recovered so i ate the $80 cost of the warranty to replace it. Still worth it. lol
