Who is sticking around?

Well I wanted to stay on the $25 plan so my only option was to get a triumph. I was pretty tired of my stock unrooted OV and the crappy firmware and wanted to try something new. I've never rooted a phone before let alone knew what it was but then I saw that ice cream sandwich came out for the optimus and I had to have it. So I found out how to root it, installed ICS and now I couldn't be happier and I am so glad I didn't spend the extra money on a buggy triumph. I will definitely be keeping my optimus for the next few years since the same developer also stated that he will be working on the jelly bean firmware for the optimus. Unless of course virgin mobile will get rid of 3g in a few months and render our old phones useless as Verizon is doing with their grandfathered customers.

Edit.....By the way, I just stumbled across the evo 4g on the virgin mobile site and it stated that it has built in hotspot for tethering. Does this mean virgin mobile will allow tethering on our phones now without it being frowned upon?

Yes, $15 extra per month and you get an extra gig of full speed 3g data.

I really like the little V, but decided to upgrade to the Elite while I could to stay on the $25.00 plan.
I really like the phone, but it's does not seem to be the best behaved phone.

Hopefully it will get some developers and work the bugs out of it.... today is the last day for me to swap back to the V to keep the $25.00 plan if I decide to drop the Elite....what to do... what to do...

Me for a while, I considered evo but not sure that 4g will be in my area so ill wait it out a while

As I mentioned in another thread - and in my profile - ov til the wheels fall off. Working on a NO DEBT lifestyle - no expensive new phones or plan increases for me.

Definitely glad we have the great roms that we have.

I was gonna get the evo but I checked and there is absolutely NO coverage in my area, oh well:thumbdown::mad:

I'm trying to get there myself. I just got these damn student loans hanging around and a house payment. So hopefully some day I can get rid of the house, pay off my student loans and be living aewsome with no debt as well.

Awesome. All I have left are a car payment and my house. No student loans or credit cards - I am getting there - slowly but surely.

You can switch back to your OV anytime and retain your grandfather status.

It's when you go back to the Elite again that you will lose it.
