Well I wanted to stay on the $25 plan so my only option was to get a triumph. I was pretty tired of my stock unrooted OV and the crappy firmware and wanted to try something new. I've never rooted a phone before let alone knew what it was but then I saw that ice cream sandwich came out for the optimus and I had to have it. So I found out how to root it, installed ICS and now I couldn't be happier and I am so glad I didn't spend the extra money on a buggy triumph. I will definitely be keeping my optimus for the next few years since the same developer also stated that he will be working on the jelly bean firmware for the optimus. Unless of course virgin mobile will get rid of 3g in a few months and render our old phones useless as Verizon is doing with their grandfathered customers.
Edit.....By the way, I just stumbled across the evo 4g on the virgin mobile site and it stated that it has built in hotspot for tethering. Does this mean virgin mobile will allow tethering on our phones now without it being frowned upon?
