After playing with a 3D I this I'll stick with my EVO. Not enough there to make me want to spend the money on it.

Re: Who is sticking with their Evo instead of upgrading to Evo 3d

I just picked up the Evo 4G a few weeks ago. I took it over the 3D because I felt it was a better phone that fit my needs. That and it didn't have a huge tumour on the back of it.

I went to Sprint wanting to talk myself into the EVO 3D. With the EVO 4G trade in it was only $50.

But I could not find anything that the EVO 3D can do that the 4G can't do.

The incredibly thin and light Samsung Galaxy S II with NFC and USB-OTG is one I want to see. That super bright SAMOLED+ display looks amazing in the comparison videos.

SAMOLED+ does look amazing... until you go outside and it's sunny, then NADA!!

Re: Who is sticking with their Evo instead of upgrading to Evo 3d

I thought I was going to stick with the EVO, but some time with the 3d made me change my mind. After using the 3d and seeing it's high res screen - the regular evo almost looks blurry and toy-like. It's almost so much faster.. wow, glad I made the jump.

Re: Who is sticking with their Evo instead of upgrading to Evo 3d

My wife just got the EVO 3D and I must say I am kind of a little jealous. I would like to get it but I am not eligible for an upgrade yet.

Re: Who is sticking with their Evo instead of upgrading to Evo 3d

I think I will stick with 4G for now. I agree with the other posters that there is no compelling reason to switch. The 3D seems to be a novelty.

Re: Who is sticking with their Evo instead of upgrading to Evo 3d

Keeping my Evo. The 3d just isn't enough for me to take the plunge.

Hey everyone I love my Htc Evo, and am curious about the Evo 3d...I had to upgrade my girlfriend's phone so I can't upgrade to the 3d now. I was just curious as to how many people are just going to stick with the original Evo and are happy with it.

Everybody who can not upgrade due to Sprint plan changes.

I am actually thinking about getting the Motorala Photon

Re: Who is sticking with their Evo instead of upgrading to Evo 3d

I just got a EVo 4g to replace my Pre. Didnt think the 3d was worth the extra $100.

Re: Who is sticking with their Evo instead of upgrading to Evo 3d

Just bought an Evo 4g on Amazon for a penny. Getting rid of my TMO TP2 and joining the Android fray. :D Looking forward to it. Also, looking forward to not having to deal with WM6 quirks any longer....

Anyone know if I am eligible for the 2.3 upgrade even if I purchased the phone from a reseller?

If your phone ships with 2.2 then yeah you can update to 2.3. Doesn't matter who you buy it from.
If you are wanting to root then don't do the update as there isn't a method for 2.3.
