Who is sticking with their Evo instead of upgrading to Evo 3d?

I may go with the update for a month or so then root, and drop my coin on the Toshiba tablet instead.

i'm sticking with my Evo. Personally, i couldn't want anything more out of my phone. It does everything i want, its sexy and the most important part is that its reliable when i need it to be.

I don't see a point in wasting 200+ on a phone just because its 3d

I think more people are upgrading based on Sense 3.0 and the dual-core Snap. Cause one thing is for sure the EVO 4G is weak in gaming. The 3D will be superb.

Wrong.. I love playing games when i'm on the go, especially when your sitting say in airport or any type of situation where you want to burn the time. I don't want to be pulling out my laptop. I could pull out my tablet, but why when I got my phone? The idea is to have one device that CAN do everything for you. I know this community likes the gaming element of the phones. I love the EVO 4G, but it falls so short in this department.

It does fall short when it comes to gaming. I would say that one of its only two weaknesses in my opinion.

Agreed! I can't really find many weaknesses with it. Just the GPU and I can't stand Sense. Everything else after those first three months worked flawless.

I love my EVO and will not be getting the 3D. My hubby however is still rockin' a Hero, he's getting the EVO 3D. Mainly for the faster dual core processor. So I guess I'll at least get to play with one, maybe!

i will keep my evo 4g because unfortunately all the other phones still suck compared to this unless we look at like the galxay s2 and some others.... so until i check out the evo 3d and how it works, its battery life and stuff like that then i wont upgrade. i hope i last another year with this phone lol

If sprint had not taken away our yearly upgrade options.... I would be thinking to get evo 3d at launch as it stands right now I wont be getting upgrade until November... so it it just sprint holding us back.... but I would also be considering waiting for a fully root able phone since we have had so much fun with root on the og evo hate to give that up.

I just got my evo 4g in dec. now seeing they are making a 3d one im kinda depressed. but at the same time the 3d doesn't really interest me. The new sense 3.0 w/ the new colored lock screens w/ the weather widget, and the slight better camera/processor does however. seeing the 3d only shoots 3d content in 720p made me more even depressed about it. well htc im going to sit and wait for the next 3d phone that shoots 3d content in 1080p sorry I want the best

I'll be getting the 3D, already pre ordered but the Evo will be staying in the family because I will passing it down to my son who thinks its his anyway.

No the definition of takeaway would be completely gone. Users paying the lowest plan should not get that luxury. That's my opinion personally, they are losing money giving it to everyone. Verizon, At&t and T-Mobile all do not offer a 2yr upgrade price for certain plans at 1yr. Only Sprint has this luxury..

Much as I love my EVO, I'm fairly sure I'm not upgrading to a 3D.
Instead, I'm going to cut my $90 phone bill in half and switch to a sensation on Tmo.
3D is a gimmick and saving the cash every month is more important to me.
I'll be doing a liability transfer (to my boss, who wants his first smartphone) to get out of my contract.
