Who's buying the Pixel mostly for the stock Android experience and fast updates?

TL;DR but my reasons are - unlimited photo storage (had no idea how much I would appreciate this), updates, camera, stock Android... I can finally say "it just works".

These days I think timely security updates are pretty critical and would be a big part of my logic in getting a pixel. Of course the rest of it is pretty sweet to.

Same. Got the P2 because it'll be updated. With KRACK and BlueBorn and all sorts of nasty exploits out there, waiting on another party pretty much meant not being able to use my phone at all. I moved to a P2 from an unlocked S7 which is apparently back on a quarterly update and still doesn't have the BlueBorn patch, which is par for the course from Samsung. They only seem to patch their latest phones, and only for a few months before they drop the ball again.

I kinda feel like the P2 is a downgrade from the S7. No microsd, no wireless charging. But right now security is such a big issue maybe it's worth it.
