Who's excited about the V30?

Sometimes photo editing on AMOLED screens can be tricky. When you see the final edited version on a laptop LCD screen or other screens, it looks different.
It's not just photo editing, but it just doesn't look natural all around. Heck, I'd be happy if they would show true white, not yellow or green tinted whites.

The specs and all look fine on it. I am not a fan of glass back phone either, more to break and it would require a case for me. I dont think I will buy it. I like my G5 for now and as long as it works ok im not going to change. I do have a friend that is looking to get someting new after having 2 G3 phones that verizon keeps swapping with referb phones. He keeps talking about how he wants it on release day

Color accuracy is also another notable difference, particularly when it comes to whites. Our own testing of some of the best Android smartphones last year revealed that OLED based displays produced very accurate results, while LCD displays resulted in a slight blue tint. This isn’t so surprising though, given that LCD displays are based on a filtered blue backlight.

The same is true of any phone, however the discrepancy could be greater on Amoled. Its best not to edit on the to begin with.

I admit. It looks absolutely stunning. However, for day to day use, it's not practical. It just takes one accidental stumble and you're done. Not alone, the fingerprints and grease you constantly have to clean. Wireless charging sucks, I've tried it. You have to set it EXACTLY in the right position or it won't charge. Also, there is a huge amount of heat generated do expect your battery to die within 8 months. True story, former Samsung owner.

My G6 flew out of my back pocket while I was running.. not one mark. I do have a case, but a very thin one at that.. There are marks on ALL four corners of the case indicating that it bounced around. I pull the case off and there was no mark on the front or the back.

LOL, there's a reason why people like how iPhone pics turn out.. and it's not just the camera, they edit on their phones but not with AMOLED screens. lol so it looks good on LCD and it looks good on AMOLED.. it doesn't quite work that well when editing on AMOLED and seeing it on every other screen around.

I do very little editing on pictures because I usually set my shots up. If I have important things to shoot I use a camera. If I do need editing I do it on a PC

I'm not disagreeing with you at all, it was kind of based on flyingkytez and moocatt was saying and agreeing with you.

Welp, it doesn't matter anymore anyways... iPhones are crossing over into Amoled territory .

Not me. I'd normally be excited for LG flagships, but 2017 has proven to be a disappointment with some of their hardware choices.

I am SO mad at these Web "reviewers" that all pushed "shiny" (which they call "premium") over features! What they have gotten us is a world of iPhone wannabes from the Android phone makers. IF I WANTED AN IPHONE I WOULD BUY ONE!!!!
Is there anyone left who offers features (like removable battery, IR blaster, etc) over fluff?

Waterproofing is not fluff.

So the G6 and V30 are not the right phones for you. Pick another that is. For myself and a lot of others they're working great.

Waterproof
Wide angle lense
Wireless charging
Super smooth performance
More screen realastate
Placement of the back button
