Who's going to pay full retail price for the Incredible?

Yet another CB'er here...

I bought a Storm on the release date with a two year contract and am not eligible for a discount until July so I'll wait a couple of months rather than pay full price. Since technology seems to be advancing so fast in these things, I am thinking of going for 1 year contracts from now on. It's not a huge amount more than a two year contract and I won't be stuck with phone envy for nearly as long.

do what I did, posted a craigslist ad looking for someone with a NE2, found someone willing to get the incredible and switch me for my droid and accessories. it's a great world we live in

1 yr contracts nowdays seem to be an attractive alternative, it's only $70 or so more and you're not locked in as long

Pre-ordered my Incredible for 529. Will be selling my droid complete with car and bedside dock's. Hoping to get somewhere north of 300.

I'm new from the CB forums too. Currently own the Tour, went to the store early on release day to get it. That hasn't been a year yet, so I'm going to be paying retail for the Incredible. This will be my first Android device. I am a Windows server administrator, and I have 6 other guys on my team. Three of them already have Android devices (Samsung Moment and a Moto Droid, not sure what the other guy has), I've been the BB guy, there's an iPhone guy and another guy has a Palm.

I'll DEFINITELY be doing 1 year contracts from now on! I'll be putting my Tour on ebay, looks like I'm not the only one! I hope we don't flood the market and nobody gets a good return on their investment!

my work is forcing me to get a bberry tour, no android phones allowed. do you guys think its worth it to carry two separate phones all day?

Wonder how many ex-CB members are here now?

Hey Oh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Storm 1 owner from Day 1 patiently waiting for my Incredible. I can't freakin wait.

I had so much hope for the Storm but RIM and their lack of vision and execution is truly what made me start looking elsewhere. For all the time we spend on our phones these days doing more than just making calls, it is entirely frustrating to watch the spinning OS try and execute a simple command.

Oh ya, back on topic. I'm able to upgrade but had I not been able to, I was prepared to pay full price for the Incredible or the Nexus One.

If you bought on Release Day (like me) you should be able to get reduced pricing for contract renewal. It's just your NE2 that has to wait until July. That's only an extra $50 off...

Does it matter if the phone is not the primary line on the plan? Checking the website, it shows I would have to pay full price until the discount that is available on 7/21.

Ahhhh, that very well could be. But by no means should you trust me on that. I'm definitely not an expert on Verizon billing, etc... Mine is a primary so that may be the difference.

I am a non-primary on a Verizon Family Plan, and will be upgrading (new every two) to the Incredible in mid-May. Apparently, someone on another forum did the same upgrade pre-order, and was charged only $99.

Can someone verify this?

If i remember right, I thought only primary lines get the NE2. Like Limjelo, i am also no expert on Verizon billing. I usually just buy my 2 - 3 phones a year and pay them whatever they ask haha.
