Who's upgrading already? Huawei P30 Pro

The ONLY aspect of that phone that's clearly better is the zoom. The prelim photos I've seen are mixed but the zoom seems really solid. As far as colors, they look great, but mainly because Samsung is SO weak in that area. Their consistent release of a limited selection of mostly dull, washed out colors is baffling....
The phone colour choices?

Samsung doesn't generally release limited colors. The exception with S10 series was the higher end models because they were ceramic backs.

I know they're raving about it's camera, but to me the S10+ is the better overall device. I love mine. I do think the P30 is a nice device though.

That's the selling point the past few years, the Camera. I really don't understand why. I point and shoot. Uploaded to social media and then FORGET ABOUT IT.

This is why IMO the hTc One M7 is my favourite all-time. Love everything about it but the camera seemed to be the only negative by reviewers.

Camera and speed-wise it most definitely is. Same goes for battery life. Don’t forget: wherever Huawei phones are sold, Samsung uses Exynos and that sucks monkey ***.

However, I don’t trust Huawei and after having had a Mate 20 Pro for a while (which also ran circles around my S10+ in pretty every single way), I’ll never buy another Huawei. I just felt like I’m constantly being spied on. There’s just too much data being sent to and processed in China. Just read through the terms of service.

You worry too much dude. There isn't a little guy at a desk in Beijing watching what you're having for breakfast. I'm more worried about Google spying on me. It's no coincedence that I'm sitting in the car talking to the wife about something and 5 mins later I get emails trying to sell me the very same products we just spoke about. Same goes for Google searches etc appearing as ads on Android Central in between news items. Now THAT'S spying

To bad Huawei sucks in the US.

In Indonesia too... And its starting to be a Hype like the Airpods. In Indonesia people buy Airpods so that they can show that they're rich. Same goes for M20 Pro and P30 Pro. Sorta like saying out im a photographer.

I used to have the M20P but the NM Card is unreliable.
Only 2 reasons i would get the P30 Pro(512GB no less because im currently using the 1TB S10P) is the camera and battery. The rest literally stink.

Me personally I think Mate 20 pro was better looking device then pro 30 but the pro 30 looks solid in the camera department

Yeah the targeted ads after you talk about something are creepy. I don’t think it’s google doing that though - it’s Facebook. I don’t use Facebook and don’t get the ads, my wife does and she gets them everywhere after talking about products etc.

But just like there’s no “guy” sitting in Beijing and listening in on you, there’s no guy at Facebook either. It’s a computer algorithm that’s only there to send you advertising. With Huawei, huge amounts of personal data is sent to China. God knows what they do with it. I don’t want my personal data to be stored and processed by an evil communist country.

They should at least put the cameras like the M20P. Putting it on the side confuses people with P30 Pro and some cheap Xiaomi...

I agree , even looks like iPhone x camera layout

I actually almost pre ordered the P30 Pro.but then suddenly in my brain reminded me how crappy the Auto Mode is(it was crappy on the Mate 20 Pro)

Remembering that even with Auto Mode and decent lighting it tells me to hold device steady to sharpen and brighten the image...

But on the other hand.i miss the Night Mode...

I never had chance to try them out but did like what they did for Nexus 6p.

I hear mixed on UI and some minor stuff .
How was video mode ?

Erm i dont do video much.but i would say its not bad if you ask me.i mean i take photos 99% of the time.but yeah its not bad.but also not good.

And 1 more about the camera is that if i point at a cup for example with Wide Angle, then i switch to normal, then to tele.the color changes...at tele it kinda get yellowish...
