My case is definitely different....
I ordered mine by phone on June 11. The pre-order date on my confirmation said 7/9 for my estimated ship date. Well, last Thursday my card charged and my phone arrived on Friday. I loved it! It is so smooth and beautiful. So I had it out and was using it on Saturday, set it down, the screen went dead, then nothing. The unit was DEAD. I didn't drop it, zap it, bang, it, nothing. I used kid gloves with the thing. I tried everything, even called Verizon. After two hours they acknowledged my device was defective and figured out how to replace it. Because the unit wasn't oficially released, they had no warranty method to offer a replacement. So now I have a new pre-order and a $199 charge to look forward to. When I receive my replacement, I have to send the dead one back and I supposed to get a refund. I was told I'd have the replacement by Wednesday (7/11) but my confirmation lists 7/19. This sucks. I'll start annual training for ILARNG on the 13th so I won't get my phone until after that unless my wife ships it to me or they ship it early. I'm eagerly watching my credit card. Okay, My pity party is over now. BTW -- I think my unit is a fluke and still look forward to my new Samsung Galaxy S3!
