Can't pair Sony Bluetooth Headset with the Edge+

I have the Sony MDR X8950BT Bluetooth headset that my Note 4 sees right away, but so far have not gotten the S6 Edge + to see it at all. I was able to pair a bluetooth gamepad with the Edge+ just fine with no problems. I even turned off Bluetooth on my Note 4 just to make sure that it was disconnected from the Note 4 when trying to pair with the Edge +. Any thoughts? And I just installed the latest update from ATT released on Nov 24th to enable the Gear VR... not sure if that update screwed anything up.

Welcome to Android Central! Just to be sure--are you making sure to press any kind of Connect button on the headset, to make sure the phone can see it?
