Why don't people like HTC anymore?

I personally thought the one x was a very remarkable device spec,and visual wise. Only thing i didnt like too much was the lack of sd card support. Yea i know it go's against google/android guildlines yata yata but the extra space would been real nice. As far as HTC as a whole,they make amazing products. Ok i know ima sound like an htc fanboy but i love their products. My first htc was the og evo,then the 3d,then the one x. But because of the lack of sd card support i got the s3. Anyways,now see'ing that they will launch the one x+ with possibly more internal storage and if not then a sd card slot but htc always fascinates me with every new device they release lol.

I didn't buy older Samsung cause they did look too iphoneish in and out... But to say the same of the GS3..... Smh.... Ok. I keep using this iphone clone and be happy about it... If you wanna buy me a phone ill let you pick it next time...

And as far as the GS3 having 2G of RAM.... It's called being future proof... The US version has 2G of RAM to offset the US 4G LTE network not being comparable with Quad core...has nothing to do with needing it for Touchwiz... If you took the time to study phones that you wanna comment on you would know Touchwiz is lighter than HTC sense.... With that said maybe The oneX/new evo could use another Gig of ram so you could actually do some real multi tasking.....

HTC OX is great phone.... Like I said I'm just over sense I've had it for years and years.... Just need a fresh look... & New innovative features...

Screen: well if you like LCD nothing beats HTC OX..... Me I like LED GS3 is great!!! It's a preference.....

Samsung sold millions of SGSII's also, but I don't see them putting Jelly Bean on it. Once your S3 gets Jelly Bean it's done. Have you not already seen that trend from them? Now they're focusing on the Note 2, then it'll be the S4. I'm not saying the One X will get anything past Jelly Bean officially, but I'm also not blaming that on sales numbers.

I've seen the sizes of Nandroid backups and RAM usage by both operating systems. Guess what? Touchwiz takes up more RAM and the Nandroids are bigger (data wasn't the difference, as they were essentially identical). Touchwiz just isn't lighter than Sense. Stop fooling yourself. Nobody gave you grief about your phone choice, either, and this thread isn't about the One X vs. S3 anyway.

The same reasons that you might love your S3 could be reasons why someone else hates it.

Wait, you're telling me continuous/persistent voice recognition or similarly invasive and intrusive "features" take up a lot of RAM?

It's not that they don't have the money. The carriers don't feel like they'll lose much by not having their handsets.

With Apple and Samsung selling tens of millions of devices the carriers will lose customers by not having those phones.

When's the last time HTC sold that many of anything?

Its been a long time since HTC sold that many of one phone. If Google would let them build a Nexus. I think they should after all they made the first Nexus device. They should at least give them another shot.

My previous phone was a Samsung infuse 4g. The screen was why I got it. At the time I preferred its super amoled plus (non pen tile mind you) to anything HTC had.

Going from the infuse to the one x was like a breath of fresh air...

I never said not to like the HOX its a great phone...The post was about why you don't like HTC anymore right??? And that's all I've replied too.... Everything you said is true after awhile Sense gets boring. I used to like but ever since I got a Nexus 7 I prefer Stock Android over Sense. The next phone I get will not be a HTC unless they release a device with stock Android.

I had the OG Evo it was a beast HTC has amazing build quality but I think in recent years they have been playing it safe they need a WOW phone something that brings real attention they need to bump marketing for one. My big need is expandable storage as I rely on offline storage my data gets blasted doing all I do as is I think the hox is a beautiful phone and hope to see HTC pick back up and kill again and the locked boot loader thing makes me sad

I'm on a skyrocket many would not call this a gs2 device I was underwhelmed by the s3 honestly my rocket is close enough I keep hoping Sony or HTC will make a sick device to get me off Sammy again I love this phone but its build quality is just not up to par I'm glad I didn't grab the vivid though lol as I'm a power hungry flashaholic

It's thicker, heavier and uglier. For many people, that makes it inferior. You wouldn't buy an 8 core phone with 5 gigs of RAM if it was a giant ugly brick. The Evo has essentially the same internals with an SD slot. If you don't use tons of storage, it is in no way better.
