Why hasent my moto G 1st gen not getting the lollipop update yet?

I tried to chat with Motorola support about it bit they where no help at all. They just used the generic responses please help me!

Did you get your Moto G new or used? If new, was it directly from a carrier, or did you buy it directly from Motorola or some other retailer? Have you ever rooted it?
