Sorry to bring out the truth, but the pixel does have some “reported” problems. Granted some are BS, but so are some of those ravings by people who say they have never had one problem. It’s just the nature of people. Some will complain, some will not admit to purchasing a bad product.
However, the early reviews by magazines, professional reviewers wanting to up their youtube numbers are primarily good for one thing; to see the features of the phone since and what they look like. The real reviews are those from actual customers who are actual users of the product. And the longer the product is used the more problems that will possibly arise.
With a phone some of the information is dependent upon where they are being used. As I noted earlier, if in a large metro area with provider towers everywhere, cell signal reception is not usually an issue; however, on the outskirts of service, where provider towers can be counted on one hand cell signal reception is a big deal; thus the modem and in some cases the phone’s antennas and antenna placement can be very important.
This information has been gleaned over a few week period; however, I gathered these links in less than 20 minutes. And there are more; however, I am not here to argue only to state the obvious, some people are having problems with their Pixel 6 phones.
Whether all these problems are just one on with certain phones or more across the entire line are not really noted at this time. However, some of these problem have to be across the line or else Google would not be noting them in patches that have dropped or are forthcoming.
I hope Google can fix these problems via software patches; however, I would not place any bets on that outcome. If they do, I will be more than happy to try another order; possibly, by then it will be an order via Amazon or other retailer vs. the actual Google store.

“The Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are great phones, each achieving four stars in our reviews, but they’ve also suffered from a surprising number of problems, with users reporting all sorts of issues with the devices.”

Many of the bad on this review are actually related to Android 12; not necessarily the Pixel phone.

Battery life. Not one thing I look at personally; however, it is a review on battery life. In my opinion, battery life is all about how “you” use a phone. The 4XL was noted to have bad battery life in reviews; for me, that has never been true. However, it is a bad review of the battery on the Pixel 6 pro.

“Google’s otherwise excellent Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones have been marred with weird bugs lately. Specifically, the December update for the duo has introduced a plethora of bugs and the company is having a hard time fixing those. Users have reported various sorts of problems including connectivity issues, ghost dialing, and more. And while we wait for a fix for those problems, another issue has surfaced recently. Several Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro users are reporting that features like auto-rotate and automatic horizontal photography are broken on their phones.”

“While Google pushed an update to the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro earlier this month, not all of the bugs were fixed. One of these is the network connectivity issue that persists even to this day. In response, Google is now getting in touch with some Pixel 6 owners regarding a possible fix for this bug through “Carrier settings” on the device.” IF THERE WAS NO PROBLEM WITH CONNECTIVITY, GOOGLE WOULD NOT HAVE TO RESEARCH THE BUG IN CONNECTIVITY.

“Users have been reporting screen cracks on the two devices for a while now. The reports go back a couple of months, and they can be found on both Reddit and Google’s support forum, reports Android Police.
Truth be said, the Google Pixel 6 Pro is mentioned more often than its sibling. Its display seems to be affected by this issue way more. It has a curved display, by the way, in case you’re out of the loop.”

“Google is still relatively quiet about the issues with the December Pixel update for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. While some of the older bugs have been fixed with the recent update, some still exist or may have even gotten worse. Google is now acknowledging that something may be off by disabling the Call Screening and Hold For Me features on the two new flagships.”

Yes, people tend to ***** on the internet vs. praise. However, as the item becomes more available and more people start to use it will naturally have more problems and more complaints.
And people use their device differently than others, and people live in different geographical areas; thus the problems with connectivity.
And as noted in this post, this website is not the only place where this phone's bad and good are being discussed. (Although, not to act like a a** kisser, I will say this is probably the best of all the Android websites...just not the only one.)
