Why isn't my Nexus 7 Tablet turning on, even after holding buttons down and charging?

My nexus 7 tablet will not turn on, even after holding buttons down and charging.

The tablet was working fine and then I went to turn it on the next day and nothing. I tried holding buttons down, following all instructions, and if the power cord is not attached I get nothing, with power cord attached I will get some flashes and lines going through screen but that is all. The tablet has never been dropped, or gotten wet, Ireally like this tablet but don't know what else to do. Can anyone help. Thanks.

Have you tried different AC power bricks? Sometimes you can quickly shock the system into working by sending a stronger current of electricity. Another idea is by trying to get to the bootloader by holding the down volume button while holding down the power button. If you can boot into that menu, just select reboot and it should work.
