My phone doubled in speed after adding the ext sd card. I only had 2gb free prior and it slowed it down way more than I expected.

yeah 0.5 is perfect i think. i tried it set to zero for a while and although its faster, u end up missin the smoothness
I'm running with both set to off.
If I notice problems, I'll try the .5 as suggested.

Yes, exactly. That's why I was surprised. But it was unmistakably more responsive to everything. Moved all camera and music storage freeing up over half the internal storage. It reminded me of before/after defragmenting a hd that is way fragmented. And I know that's not the same mechanical seek time issue on a SS drive, but it was like that. Oh well, no complaints, I'll take it.

No problems with that, I've been set to off for like a month now with no issues whatsoever. I personally prefer instant response over nice animated fade in's/out's and all that jazz

according to my experience, the slow reason may be caused by many factors, but the most possible problem is digitizer screen or the phone system, you should check the phone in the two sides.:'(

Total 3469. CPU 8476, Mem 2697, I/O 3893, 2D 654, 3D 1624
How does that compare with others? Seems low to me (from previous post in this thread)

Total 3851. CPU 9053, Mem 2985, I/O 5213, 2D 667, 3D 1339
Large difference is CPU and I/O. Weird.

This may seem like a stupid question but you're remembering to clear the ram right? Did you turn the home lag off (where you can double tap and svoice won't pop up)?

yeah the dual core is a bit lower on quadrant mate but prob beats the quad core on other tests with its 2gb ram
click svoice then press the menu button. Go to the settings. I'm not sure what is called but you should see something like double tap home button. Uncheck it.now your phone go to the home screen faster
u have to root the phone and flash a rom with a "kernal" that can be clocked. i had a zte blade, ?100 phone (about $150?) which was really crap out of the box but in like 10mins u could carrier unlock it for free, root and custom rom it without a computer, then overclock it to 729mh and it felt like a phone 3times the price. legendary phone
How did you get that? As I said, I rebooted mine which should have cleared all the ram, stray programs etc. I don't have svoice enabled.
Mine is a 1Gb international one and I have a 32gb SD card installed.
