Why won't my Samsung Galaxy S5 charge or turn on with the new battery?

My Samsung Galaxy s5 won't charge or turn on with new battery

I let my Samsung Galaxy s5 die down during the night and when I woke up and plugged it in nothing. So I had a back up battery on hand, put it in and nothing. No vibrations , no lights, no nothing.

Welcome to the forums. I would plug it in and let it sit for a couple hours and see if the battery responds.
