Wifi asks for password instead of loading splash page[Solved]

I'm trying to login to my work wifi, which has a captive portal requiring a username/password. I had to do a network reset and now when I try to connect to this network, I'm prompted for a password. Since I don't have a direct password, I can't connect to force the splash page open.

I'm using a Note20 Ultra on Android 11 with the most recent updates.

Welcome to Android Central! Do you have a work IT department you can ask? Are you certain you're picking the right SSID? Sometimes there can be very similar SSIDs, and it can be easy to select the wrong one.

I did ask my IT department and am still waiting for a response. I am selecting the correct SSID and verified that the splash page comes up on my laptop.

If you forget the wi-fi network on your laptop and then reconnect to it, does it ask you for a password there as well before the splash page comes up?

Ok, i have it figured out now; the problem was on my end, not my phone. I'll delete the post
