Wifi problems on LG V10?

I am definitely experiencing intermittent and laggy response when using apps like Instagram and browsing sites in Chrome like news.google.com. While textual elements come down pretty quick, images lag by 5-10 seconds. Even images in the Play Store are really slow to load.

I have tried this on my local 5GHz and 2.4GHz SSIDs with no noticeable difference. My LG G2 browses all these same sites/apps smoothly and without any delays/lags.

Taking my V10 off wifi and onto 4GLTE and everything works nicely. Definitely something not right with the wifi. Others are complaining about it, too.

Anyone here see this too? Trying to make this surface so LG gets word of it.

Same issue here with wifi. Google store is very slow when scrolling it takes 15 - 20 seconds to load images. I pull it up on my tablet, no problem and the same on my wife's moto.

Try removing the sim chip and see if that helps. Before sending the phone back that was the only way the Wi-Fi would work on that device.

I'm starting to wonder if this is a Lollipop problem. I've had wifi issues on a Samsung Tab S 8.4, a GS6 Edge, a G4 and now the V10. The Samsung models have been the worst, especially after I updated the tablet from kitkat to Lollipop. Although the tablet just barely updated again to 5.1 and I think it's been better.

But like I said, the S6 edge was horrible, and I've had problems with the two LG phones as well. I've found that sometimes I just have to toggle the wifi on and off to fix it, and it's really annoying. I get the feeling that the problem is caused by the device trying sleep when the screen is off, and then it struggles and gets worse and worse after that until wifi is reset.

Same issue here. On WiFi, Instagram and twitter hang on loading for up to 20 seconds, but load instantly if on data. Other phones have never and don't have the issue. Interestingly, this occurs on other WiFi networks, not just home.

So seems a phone problem and not the network.

I am bumping this because i just got the phone and having similar issues, but intermittent, it seems to be only on 5G from what I can tell. I will be surfing and occasionaly get a DNS err timeout, but then hit refresh and it works fine.

The icon does not show I am losing wifi but it could be dropping and reconnecting so quick. Never had any of these problems with LG G2 on same router

I will occasionally lose Wi-Fi but I don't have any kind of lag

Same here. Occasionally I look down to see my home wifi off (odd) yet it's turned on.

So I am still having DNS issues, and has nothing to do with being on 2.4 ghz or 5ghz

I am using a ASUS RT-AC68P, which is top of the line and have no issues with the 10 other devices in my house. I also tried switching to my old Verizon fios router same thing

There has to be something up with this wifi and DNS, I am not going to bother exchange, since everything else is working fine and hoping they come out with an update

Only had the V10 for 2 days but it is already exhibiting the 5ghz issues of the G4 that I had before it. My fix for the G4 was changing channels on my router (Netgear Nighthawk) which worked like a charm. Might have to try changing again for this phone. I'll report back in that helps.

So just to follow up, I switched channels for the 5ghz band and immediately saw improvement. Back to getting the full speed that I pay for (200/20).

I'm the original poster on this thread, and I discovered that it was due in some part to IPv6 being enabled on my router. I disabled IPv6 and it works flawlessly on WiFi. Also, my ISP is Comcast; some time back they had some IPv6 issues; not sure it's related.

I'm having the same problem, but it is pretty regular. I'm having this problem at home and at work, where we have WiFi hubs throughout the building. I have my WiFi set to switch to mobile data when the WiFi connection is weak. This switch happens regularly throughout the day even though I have a strong connection. I have changed the settings but still drop WiFi.

I find the upload speeds are pretty slow. I came from a Note 5 and the upload lag was terrible. But the WiFi connection and range were incredible. I could walk a block away from my house and still have a solid connection. With my V10, if I go upstairs I start dropping the connection.

This is really starting to bother me since I stream a lot of content and without a steady connection I'm starting to eat up data like crazy.

I'm tempted to return the phone but am not sure what I'd replace it with.
