Will changes show on HTC One (M7)?

I was wondering if the visual changes in Lollipop would show up on my HTC One M7 (or even phones that aren't running stock android). I want to try out the new keyboard and see more of those visual changes but I'm afraid Sense would just block out all those new icons and graphics etc.

No I don't think so unless if it's a Google Play edition HTC
