Will the Moto X Pure EVER get T-Mobile WiFi Calling?

I have T Mobile and this is the last piece of the puzzle I've been waiting for... Sure it's not a dealbreaker, but it would still be nice, especially when I travel. It would also allow me to use Gogo as well, even though I know the reviews for Gogo are pretty bad.

Does anyone have any news on whether Moto will ever make the changes necessary to support this?

I doubt it. Especially since the 6P worked with native MM so you would think Moto would as well. Did the Pure get the MM update yet?

It got Marshmallow awhile ago. It might've even been last year. I don't remember when.

I got the Marshmallow 6.0 update late in Dec. 2015. I then got the security patch in late February (security patch level February 1, 2016). No updates since the security patch though which is quite disappointing...

It used to be on all TMO phones years ago. The calls came out of your call bucket. Never used it. The Nokia 6085 had it and so did the TMO Blackberry Flip.

You might just have to be on band 12 (900) for the wifi calling to work. That's a low frequency used to blanket large areas. If you are in a strong LTE area, you should have no need for wifi calling.
(That's a fallacy. Our city is covered by Sprint with scads of dead areas. Just watched a friend cope the other day)

I switch over to band 3 which covers non-lte.
