Will VZW get it? What do you think?

VZW will have it, it is almost a given in my opinion. There are too many Nexus lovers that would be pissed if it wasn't there. It is still listed as the number 7 best selling phone on the network. When they release it, it will certainly have LTE. They are not going backwards in terms of speed.

you guys do know that none of the radio bands show LTE capability, only hspa+ support, when it was put through FCC....Verizon won't carry a non LTE phone

in a word NO!

Why?
Verizon would not allow Google wallet,
Verizon put crapware on the Verizon Gnex
Because Verizon insists on putting crapware on their Nexus phones it delays OS updates as it has to go through Verizon instead of being pushed out by Google.

In short, I think Verizon pissed off Google with the Galaxy Nexus and Google is not going to go through that again with a Nexus device.
I love the coverage of Verizon and the LTE speeds... but I hate their hardball tactics in taking away all the positive aspects of Nexus devices.
I really don't think Verizon deserves to get a Nexus device again... I mean let's be real about this.. once Verizon finishes dictating what will be on the Nexus device and what they will not allow to be on it... it really isn't a true Nexus device anymore!

I do have a Verizon Galaxy Nexus and love it, but it is rooted and Rom'd and it does have google wallet on it. It's sad I had to root and Rom it to get it to be what Google wanted it to be stock out of the box.

Verizon doesn't deserve any other Nexus and I hope after the last one in December 2011 Google forgets all about Verizon and it's useless cdma Lte network. They couldn't do right by the current Galaxy Nexus which launched with 4.0.3 in December 2011. It took them 6months to update the Galaxy Nexus to 4.0.4 Ics in June 2013 and that's a stock device. Let Verizon stick to it's Droid Razr brands with all that useless bloatware that's all Verizon cares about anyway.

Some of these ROMs are better than stock Android though

I think you guys are stupidly picky about what makes a phone a "REAL DEAL NEXUS PHONE."
Stock Android and on screen keys are pretty much what sum it up for me. Google Wallet, adding My Verizon, whatever. All of that crap is petty and a non-issue. The Verizon G-Nex still only has one and a half pages of apps out of the box where as the Razr HD has 3 and a half pages of pre-installed stuff.

Network is superior, but updates are a bit slower and stupid things like Wallet not being supported, granted there are simple workarounds.

Personally, I'll be looking hard at ATT / Tmobile when my VZW contract ends in December 2013.

As much as I looked forward to switching to VZW from TMO for the GNex, VZW has sufficiently soured me with their limitations and restrictions on it to make me want an alternative... There's another GSM provider called Simple Wireless that buys its access from TMO or AT&T that is unlimited pay as you go, you just have to supply the phone... I'm thinking that'll be my next service provider with an unlocked Google Play bought Nexus, probably after my VZW contract is up 14 months from now...

Verizon will not be getting the next Nexus. At least not for a few months. There is no evidence pointing to them getting it and there has been no word on a LTE variant.

For this reason I am thinking about switching to T-Mobile on a monthly plan. I'm tired of dealing with Verizon's BS. It's between the Razr MAXX HD and the new Nexus...let's see what Google has to offer on Monday.

Stock Android ships with my verizon now? Ah that's cool!

I think it is funny when I meet a Nexus lover and hear them say I will always have a Nexus from now on and then I see that they have a Verizon Nexus lol. It makes no sense to me. We all don't have a Nexus. We have a verizon wireless Android phone with the word Nexus in its title. People on GSM carriers have a real Nexus with all of the advantages we don't get. Just cracks me up that some people on Verizon with the same phone I have still feel super awesome about the Nexus after how badly VZW screwed it up.

While Verizon did screw with allot of gnex positives such as first updates to new Os versions, the community and rooting allows my gnex to have the newest update at the same time as the gsm models essentially. So while Verizon policies would make me believe they don't deserve another nexus device, my own want for a nexus hopes that they carry it. I know it will still get nearly immediate updates through the community.

What stops Google from launching the Nexus Four as a "world phone" or i think the term is "penta" band. Basically antenas that will work for GSM/CDM/HSPA+/LTE so that they could sell that one phone through the play store and we all could take that same phone to our carrier of preference? Is that even Possible?

The Galaxy Note 2 blows both the Lg Nexus 4 and Droid Razr Maxx Hd out the water plain and simple. I will be purchasing the Galaxy Note 2 on Tmobile November 1st. The Galaxy Note 2 is the ultimate overall entertainment device ever made. Nothing will be better for the next 180 days period. :)

Verizon "screwing the GNex up" is completely subjective. My phone worked just fine on ICS. Was my phone "screwed up" because I had to wait a bit for an update? Nope. Nexus branded phones provide stock android, which is what the GNex has. So how it's not a "true Nexus" escapes me.

This is possible I must say but I can't see it happening no time soon. Google should make Verizon and it's customers feel the pain. I left Sprint for Verizon thinking I would be home free on Verizon with my Galaxy Nexus and all it turned out to be was the WORST CARRIER EXPERIENCE EVER. Dreadful battery life, poor reception/signal strength. I was so happy to kick Verizon to the curb this past June 21st for Tmobile.

Although Verizon does have its flaws, like terrible customer service, the things you listed sound like hardware and manufacturer problems. Not problems with the actual wireless provider.

What's done is done. I am gone from them now and love my Galaxy S3 on Tmobile. My unlimited data is great and my Galaxy Note 2 will be fantastic come November 1st...

I don't think they could fit all that in a smartphone. LTE versions of phones are usually bigger and heavier. So if they wanted to put GSM, CDMA and LTE radios inside, the phone would be too big. But what they could do I think, is to make an unlocked CDMA LTE version so that one could activate it with VZW or any other CDMA carrier that allows using out-of-carrier phones.

Right! But VZW has faster internet, better coverage and fewer dropped calls than TMO... :] So either true Nexus or true network....

I will wait for what Google says on Monday, if they say no for VZW, I will order a GSM version and stay with TMo...
