Time for the Storm to clear up.

After dealing with memory drains and battery pulls, it's time to say goodbye to the old and busted Storm and hello to the new hotness of the Incredible!

For over 2 years, I've been using the Samsung U-740, which I've aptly called "Flip-Flip Phone". With all the smartphones that have come out, it's now more a "Flip & Flop". I've been holding off doing my NE2, even when the Motorola Droid came out, for an incredible phone. Guess what? It's coming out this Thursday.

The "sorry old phone" is not so old g1. I use it mainly to develop applications. His battery can't hold more than 5 hours of lying down and doing nothing :( And it seems to be worst every week.

What a bunch of cry babies

Seriously - what a bunch of cry babies... oh noes!!1! your ancient smart phones. My four-year-old Samsung SCH-A950 was in use until late February when I finally got a Motorola Droid. It would definitely still be in use if I hadn't gotten a job that required me to have mobile email access (provided the occasional button failure and atrocious battery life didn't get any worse). :p

Talking about sorry, I have the Blackberry Tour and yes I am a fan of blackberry but this one is sick. Battery dont last half a day, now wi fi and a browser thats so slow I can go out to lunch will waiting on a page to load. Track ball a pain in the rear end. Apps are expensive compared to Android and at times I feel like I could throw it at the wall but I need it to make phone calls LOL!

My crappy phone

I have one of those phones that they just give away for free when you get a 2 year contract. It doesn't do anything special at all. It doesn't get internet and it just barely is able to get email. It's made out of some really cheap feeling plastic. No support for music playback and the camera is only 1.3mp. I have been following the Incredible for a while now and I believe that it is the right phone for me to upgrade to. I decided on Android because I love Google and I want to try out making some apps for the free market on the Android. I also want a phone that has a great camera and good mp3 playback. So here's to hoping I get myself an incredible new phone.

Bye Bye Iphone, Apple and AT&T

I have been researching, studying options, comparing phone, plans and prices.

The iphone 3Gs I have is a joke, it is so limited, not multitask, and slow cpu. I can not use it for my everyday activities like ssh to my other Linux & Unix servers unless I spend $9.00 for an app or jailbreak it, apple community and updates are soooo slow and limited with android I can customize the OS with whatever I want depending of how much I understand and know about Linux =)

And one of the most important reasons for my iphone to be sorry is AT&T sucks!

Thank you,

I bought the Blackberry Storm when it first came out in December '08. This was my first step into the smartphone world, and since there was (at the time) nothing to rival Blackberry on Verizon, I jumped at the opportunity.

I liked the phone at first, especially the SurePress. It suited me for my needs, but as time went on, I realized how far behind it really was. If it weren't for the flawless email abilities, I would've dropped it ages ago. Internet is slow, there are very few useful apps (and the ones that I WANT cost too much money or slow the phone down too much), and the whole thing is just not as customizable as I'd hoped.

I decided recently to get the Nexus One. I was willing to skip my NE2 deal in order to just have a phone I could be proud of. I checked Android pages every day for news, but it was always more of the same: N1 coming soon to VZW; N1 delayed...Again; N1 coming to Vodaphone first; etc.

I finally got tired of waiting and checked out the Incredible. It felt good in my hand, was blazing fast (world of difference from the Storm), and had every option I was looking for. I got my name on the waiting list for release day at my local VZW store, but that same day, I had some more bad news...(cue violin music)

My poor Storm cracked right down the center of the screen. It was almost as if it was telling me "It's okay. It's time for you to move on, and it's time for me to move on, too." Of course, I can't use the touch screen for anything now, so my abilities on the Storm are currently limited to: calling the last number that I dialed (thank God it was my wife), receiving all calls, and viewing the first sentence of any emails or texts I receive. Not great when I'm accustomed to accessing and replying to emails, surfing the web, and getting directions. Ah well, only 3 more days!

Don't get me wrong, the Moto Droid is a nice phone and all, but that keyboard? Lame! And the thing is so slow! I mean it only runs at half a GHz! Come on, its already a couple of months old, but in today's high tech, fast moving, computing world thats like being from the stone age!

I have a blackberry storm I got at launch (should have my ass kicked for that move what a waste of $500) and I am in desperate need of some Android love. I get to use a moto droid for work and I'm in love. If it's anything like that sign me up.

My Sad Windows Mobile Phone

I have a Samsung i760. It certainly seemed like all that and a bag of chips at the time I bought it.

Nowadays it mostly dials random numbers while I'm already on a call, awkwardly conferencing in people from my phonebook that don't actually know the person I'm currently talking to. Once it also dialed a bank 1-800 service number.

Oh, and Windows Mobile 6.0 Need I say more? :o

Help me with a new Droid Incredible!!! :D

End the agony, please!!!

I'm limping through life with a BB Storm 1 that is always asking to be rebooted and constantly running out of memory. It only has 128MB of application memory and regularly complains that I haven't deleted more applications so as to free up space. If I wanted a phone that acted only as a phone, I'd have bought a regular phone. I wanted a SmartPhone - but it's apparently not smart enough to do everything I need it to do.
Please help me. The speed and available application memory, as well as a great new Android OS, would be a welcome relief.

Currently rocking a Pearl Flip with burn marks on the screen from the keys. I couldn't be more disgusted with the fact that I actually need to open it to do things. I need this Incredbile so I can stop looking like a broke-ass sexual chocolate around the ladies. That makes sense... right?

I used my dads upgrade to get the Droid. He had the ev2 and didnt want to get a new phone. He since then broke it and is back to a Razr. If I won I would let him use my Droid.

Credit where credit is due

In it's latest marketing commericals, why does HTC give credit to LucusFilms for the term "Droid", but does not give me credit for the term, "Incredible"?

The most incredible feat I will do with this phone, for the first time since the box phones of the 80s, is actually keep it for the full 2 year term without feeling the need to upgrade to another phone. No longer will I have to play the, "Are you serious, it's cheaper for me to 'add a new line' and get a new phone at the discount price and pay the extra $10 / month line charge than just upgrade my current phone?" game.

Incredible...

need this!

Hey I really need this phone. I'm stuck with a broken voyager! Lol. Phone sux! Can't wait til I jump on this android bandwagon! Everyone at work has one and all they do is make fun of my broken voyager

Eris

I bought a Droid Eris just a few days before they announced it's discontinuation! The Incredible sounds so much better that I don't want to be stuck with the Eris for two years.
