@Wirefly Sprint just announced June 2nd release date. any updates from your side? thanks.

@didwania1 The release date is important but it does not affect the fact that we are still waiting on our order of the phones from Sprint.

well thats just a bummer another few week after the second release date, this is no preorder more like delayed order

That's hard to believe if we get it after launch date?

Am I just blowing that out of proportion or does that not make sense to pre-order if you get it after launch date?

I just did a chat with them and they are saying they have no stock, don't know when they will get it, but hope to have it by the end of the week. It's a sad state of affairs at WireFly when people pre-ordered with them weeks ago, and not only didn't get a phone, but don't even have an expected date, yet others walk into BB or Walmart and picked them right up. I understand WF is waiting on stock, but it's pretty clear that they have little to no pull with Sprint, so that's something to keep in mind moving forward. I also find it quite hard to believe that they really don't know when they are going to get stock. They are making themselves look like Sprint couldn't care less about them, not a strong play.

If Wirefly doesnt ship out these phones by tomorrow (or dont receive their stock) I expect a lot of people will cancel and just walk into a Sprint store on Saturday. I just dont see why anyone would want to wait an undetermined amount of days when they can just buy it at a Sprint store Saturday.

Hopefully you all also have a pre order at best buy which may get it sooner than WF. at least then u don't lose the $50.

I agree, but I also believe this is an isolated incident. I have ordered through wirefly (with Sprint service) before and had no problems. My feelings are that sprint was hoarding available stock for themselves their "preferred" 3rd party retailers. Notice that (outside of Walmart, who only got one phone in stock) the retailers who actually got the phones were selling them for the same price as Sprint! (Not talking about the extra's you were able to get through pre-ordering with BB) I think Sprint is hating on WF's exta low price. :D I'm laughing, but I'm serious. I just want my phone, but I am being patient as I have better things to be upset about, but this is ridiculous. And up until recently, WF was totally guilty of not communicating with their customers. Without avenues such as Android Central, I would have had no idea what was going on...EVER!!!

I got the $119.99 deal, so saving tax and having free shipping that puts it about $100 in savings. $200 total for both phones I got. I'm ok waiting a little bit. I'm not happy, but I'm not cancelling for having to wait a couple days after the rest of the stores get their stock.

I'm just being hateful now, but I hope they do, so when my phone finally ships in 2013;), I'm at the head of the list. :D

Except you truly have no idea how many days that might be! I wouldn't mind if they would tell me "No later than the end of next week," but they really don't have a clue. I don't mind waiting a few more days to save money if I at least had an indication of when I would be getting the phone, but at this rate it could be another week or two.

I tweeted them

"@JayPhenom: So @Wirefly us preorderers can expect to recieve our Evos after the launch date of 6/2? Defeating the purpose of preordering."

?@Wirefly: @JayPhenom Right now things are still very fluid. We expect we'll be able to set better delivery expectations at some point tomorrow.?

That tells me they don't have any info yet on when they'll receive the phones. It tells me our pre-orders won't arrive until the week after the official launch at the very earliest. It tells me it's time to cancel my order if I don't hear unexpected good news by tomorrow.

I will cancel my order. If tomorrow is the day they announce when they ship the earliest we will recieve our preordered phones will be Monday. I'll go the Sprint store across the street on Saturday and walk out with one.

I may do the same thing. I just spoke to them, they have no clue when its coming. It could be in july like the amazon people. this truly sucks.

No point cancelling until you actually have a phone in your hand from BB or Sprint. It's easy to do from their website once you know for sure. Although if you have already cancelled you can probably get it re-instated if you really want so you don't lose your spot in line.

I would cancel but I already waited 2 weeks, whats another week or so I still have a working OG Evo no hurry now.

Good news, people who pre-ordered through WF will receive their Evo 4G LTE's with the Jelly Bean version of android. The bad news is that it's because we wont' receive them until next year. Yes, I'm being childish, but at least I'm trying to have fun with this whole debacle.:-\
