Two different things. He said in the first quote they won't deliver to customers on Saturday. The second quote says they will pick up from wf on Saturday with delivery to customers on Monday. No contradiction there.

It's a bit confusing to me too. As far as I understand, FedEx will deliver on Saturdays if the shipper pays for it, but I don't think they would pick up a delivery on Saturday and also ship it out that same day. I could be wrong, though.

Even so, there's definitely no Sunday service, right? Or does FedEx operate 7 days a week, but just not do deliveries on Sundays or Saturdays (except when Sat. delivery is chosen)?
I think it means that Wirefly requested the overnight delivery from Sprint, so that Wirefly gets the phones shipped to their facility overnight, not that they're doing overnight delivery from Wirefly to customers over the weekend.

On a separate note, when I cancelled my Wirefly pre-order, I was told they can re-open my order anytime within 30 days of canceling. So, just thought I'd share that info.

"HTC EVO 4G LTE Inventory Update
We have confirmation that our shipment of the HTC EVO 4G LTE was shipped to us today. It will be delivered to us tomorrow and we will turn them around and ship the entire order out via next business day shipping through FedEx to pre-order customers in the order that they were placed. We have also received communication that we should receive more inventory from Sprint towards the end of next week. Everyone at Wirefly is working hard to make sure that you get your HTC EVO 4G LTE as soon as possible."

So looks like some of us may get the phone as early as Monday?

Yep ... No use in discussing the Saturday thing since they won't be getting there shipments until tomorrow anyways.. so people should start receiving them I'm assuming early next week.

Ok, figured I'd give an update here, since I just cancelled my Wirefly pre-order last night after pre-ordering with Best Buy (on-store).

I just got a call from my local Best Buy, they have the phones in and they're fufulling pre-orders tomorrow! The store I pre-ordered from is making appointments for the pre-orders, to control the chaos I guess. So, if all goes to plan, I'll have my EVO tomorrow!

I just wanted to share my experience in case anyone else might benefit from the info. Again, my reason's for cancelling my Wirefly order included me not being home whenever it shipped, so picking up from Best Buy seemed like the prudent thing to do, even if I got the phone later than Wirefy customers. But it seems it's also working out in getting it sooner!

It still sucks to know that I originally pre-ordered at 8am on May 7th with Wirefly (which was the exact time Sprint's pre-order site went live) but somebody can go into a Best Buy a couple days before the new official launch to pre-order and get the phone before Wirefly customers. Not blaming Wirefly, but it puts "pre-orders" into perspective.

I just left Walmart and they had one Evo LTE but the system was down and they could not sale it to me. So close.!

so i canceled my wirefly order too. turns out i have some bestbuy reward that i didn't know. plus the 50 gc from bestbuy i can use toward the phone right away. and i figured, if i find any local store pice drop within 14 days they will price match also. yeah, i said before that i am not pressed, but hey, i can get it for about the same price as wirefly right now. why not. haha.

I went back to Walmart last night and got the Evo. I had to pay 50 more than the 118 but I am okay with that. My impatience got the best of me.

My shipping status on my Wirefly account just changed for my preorder! The text now reads as follows:

"Great News! Your order is ready to ship.
We will send you an email with tracking information and update this site once it ships.
Thank you for shopping with us!"

Also, the Shipped circle is now blank instead of having a red exclamation point.

For reference, I preordered on May 8th at 10:00am EST.

I went to best buy at 9:40(they open at 10) Me and another LTEvo customer chatted for a few. Got my phone and a screen protector for 195. Only spend about 10$ more than my wirefly order (157, and I would have gotten the screen protector from bestbuy anyway) Canceled that when I got home. Sorry wirefly, I couldn't wait another 2 days. Kudos to the rest of you guys.
