Wirefly Pre-orders

Nothing for me :( ordered on the 9th. So it looks like they got enough phones in to cover 2 days out of 26 days of pre-orders. Some people are going to have to wait a long time

ordered on the 8th so... 1 day and then little for 2nd day.

My Order Number: 496496976 on 05/08/2012 (I probably just barely made it). Screen shot for reference:

boy .. they will have a one very pissed customer if i dont get that email soon ... ordered early on 7th ...

I was just thinking maybe I should have waited, but now I am glad I got it.

Why don't you ask Sprint why they didn't send Wirefly more phones? Obviously Wirefly took as many phones as Sprint allowed them to order. Be disappointed in Sprint, or even yourself for not ordering earlier! I don't see why you think Wirefly did anything wrong.

I placed the preorder with Wirefly, not Sprint. Sprint has no duty to fulfill a contract with me. Why would Sprint be obligated to answer to me?

I'm glad you asked about ordering earlier. I did place an order on 5/8, but I had to cancel that order because I couldn't increase my order to two phones without paying twice the shipping cost or having to be available to receive two separate packages. Wirefly's preordering system couldn't accommodate an increase in quantity for some unknown reason. The CSR asked me to just wait until the 18th and then call back to increase the quantity. Fortunately, I didn't follow that advice because the friends and family price changed the day after.

I don't mind having to wait for a phone if you are getting a great deal on it (and $119.99 w/o tax is a great deal), but I do mind when the wait is longer than you expect. Once preordering began, Wirefly likely knew when their initial allotment of phones wouldn't be able to fulfill their preorders. Despite this, they chose not to close preordering because more preorders means more eventual sales. To me, it shows a lack of focus on customer satisfaction.

Maybe I should have read more posts in the forums on the experience others had with preordering the EVO 4G with Wirefly, but preordering a phone usually doesn't require that level of due diligence.

Sprint will only give Wirefly a certain amount of phones. Wirefly didn't sell you a phone, they just allowed you to pre-order one. When Sprint gives them the phone they will send it to you, I just don't understand what they've done wrong. Why didn't Sprint have enough phones made? They knew they would run short and that's part of the selling factor. Making a phone sell out makes it more popular because it makes it seem popular.

That kind of sounds like a bad excuse considering Wireflys motto is "Always free Fedex shipping both ways" and you could have chosen to have your packages held at FedEx to pick up at your convenience. My point is that there is more blame on you than there is Wirefly. I'm sorry your not getting your phone and if it were me I would be mad too, but Wirefly has been really awesome throughout all this and I feel the need to defend them. They are giving out phones in the order they received them, meaning even though some people paid more than me, they will have to wait and I get mine now, potentially losing wirefly money. That says a lot about a company, to me it says "Customer satisfaction over money". How would you like it if you had paid $119 and been the first person to pre-order but Wirefly decided to send the phones to the people that paid $149 first?

Hah. Well, Wirefly is lucky to have won over your loyalty.

I ordered on 5/8 in the evening and mine still says "Awaiting Inventory". This is getting old.

I ordered mid day on the 8th and mine shipped. I never got an email from them that it shipped though, which is annoying. I had to go to their site and look to find out. Pretty annoying, shouldn't that crap be automated? I did check my junk mail just to make sure I didn't miss it...nothing. if it wasn't for this thread, I would be so in the dark. Wirefly has a long way to go as a business IMHO.

okay its sunday .. no shipping notification .. and i ordered on 7th ...

so far i was willing to give wirefly benefit of doubt with their late responses to the situation but not anymore ... this sucks ... i hope wirefly rep can reply to what happened ...

Quick question for those who have received your phones from WF. Do they charge you tax on top of the price?
